Yeah, this team is DOA against these higher quality teams with this defensive crew. I mean, Walker and Seeler were their best/steadiest defense pair all season, and they lost em both. Drysdale and Risto are what they are, but oh my what they have now. Take out either Staal or Johnson (he sucks!!!) and give Ginning another shot. It can't hurt.

Yes, losing Walker and Seeler is a big problem. The fact that Staal is playing regularly now is scary. I'd love to see more of Ginning. My issue with Torts is that he thinks the vets like Staal/Johnson will give them a better chance, but I'd rather roll the dice with the kids.

I just remember the Flyguys shutting down those obnoxious loser Laff fans in 2004 when JR roofed that water bottle shot in overtime of game 6!! That was a glorious moment in time! Funny thing is that the loser Laffs have only won ONE playoff series since then.

I think it was Tampa and Ottawa after we knocked the leafs out both times. Somewhere, JR says hi and enjoys crushing leafs fans souls… if only they had a soul to crush.

Leafs were the underdogs in that series and probably should’ve won that. You guys had a ton of real good teams and just kept choking. It was tough to watch alit if the time to be honest. Really thought you would break out and win one there.

So cocky for a team that won a whole 2 cups? I think? Maybe only a few years difference in cup drought vs leafs…7 years difference or so….would not be too quick to judge there

Cocky? That's the epitome of loser Laff fans! They haven't hoisted the silver chalice since 1967 and they've won ONE playoff series in the last 20 years. Won a bunch of Cups in a 6 team league. Congrats!

I took a quick shower and Leafs score 3. This defense is crushing. Missing 3 of 6, 4 if including Walker in trade. Flyers have enough issues, but that defense is turning them into last year.

Honestly man, I’m a Wings fan. Even I can tell you that no fan base is as critical of their own team as Leafs fans. They love their team but man do they ever point out the warts and even make up some if there isn’t any. The last thing they are is cocky. Crazy yes. Obsessed yes. But you need to understand that in Canada every other team fan base (Canucks habs oil sens…not so much jets) have a weird inferiority issue with them. The habs fans get a pass with the historical rivalry.

Leafs are also (as per The Hockey News) the most popular hockey team world wide by a good margin…mercy sales and games watch apparently. So they also have a target on their backs.

I don’t think it’s crazy to think they are cocky but realistically it’s just a bit of a confusion thing. They get so much attention and it pisses off other fans from other teams. Makes sense

I’m a flyers fan in Canada and have no idea what you’re talking about. I’m surrounded by leafs fans that plan a parade any time they win a round of playoffs. It’s ridiculous considering their futility. They went an entire cba being the only team in the nhl not to make the playoffs. Pretty hard to do.
