He was a very good, solid do everything well, D man. Obviously Desjardins was not an elite talent but to me was still a star level guy. I think that’s the ceiling….wishful thinking but it’s not like Desjardins blossomed before he got to Philly. His best years were here. Yorks progress this year is super encouraging.

Once again showing how little you know; it's really sad! Desjardins was a very good defenseman and an all-star, but he never finished higher than 4th in Norris voting, so he was far from an elite defenseman. York absolutely has a chance to be as good as Desjardins.
