Not underrating him at all. He was a very good defenseman and was a #1 defenseman for the Flyers. But let's not make him more than he was in his prime. He was not elite. - jd250
It is a fact that he was an elite defenseman in the NHL in his prime. As voted on by his peers and the award voting establishment in the league.

The fact that you continuously have to resort to fallacies such as everyone already knows, is a direct giveaway to the reality that you have zero intelligence when it comes to the sport of hockey and have low self esteem when it comes to that. You can't stand on your own merits. So you search for comfort in thinking that in your fantasy world, others think the same as you do.

No. Friedman reports that the issue torts has with coots is related to “pace”. I guess he’s not skating hard enough or something..🤪. I suspect this is the first coots is hearing about it too - Hextall271
Thanks for the insight... This is not going to end well is it? |

Once again showing how little you know; it's really sad! Desjardins was a very good defenseman and an all-star, but he never finished higher than 4th in Norris voting, so he was far from an elite defenseman. York absolutely has a chance to be as good as Desjardins. - jd250
Top 10 in Norris voting five times in his career. Considering his peers were otherworldly I would say he was elite in his prime. When you are in the same group as Borque, Lidstrom, Leetch, Chelios and Pronger you are pretty darn good. |

Finishing in the 95 percentile in voting for best defenseman in the league 5 times is not elite? That is an interesting take. Also the only defenseman to score a hat trick in a Stanley cup game. That’s a cool stat. |

I’m really curious as to where this situation with couturier goes. Scratching him and “holding him accountable like any other player” is on thing, but if the coach is not consistent or the player has had zero communication with the coach about it, that’s ridiculous. |

setting things up for a trade where the Flyers have to give away a first and retain 6.5 mil/yr to move Coots |
