Iām hoping July 1st addresses some needs - kindlyrick
Problem is Cap room and the Islanders not being a prime destination.

Totally just beat me to this. š
Though I honestly think Engvall is more repulsed by physical contact then even Kavasha. |

Something tells me Engvall isn't an NHL guy. He might be better suited for the SEL or wherever the game is less physical. I don't think I've ever seen a 6'5" guy who was less intimidating. I'm sure Lou was trying to improve team speed, but at what cost? - JohnScammo

Agreed. Kvasha wasn't so much afraid of contact; he was just generally useless. He had only one move where he would skate the puck into the zone, and invariably continue skating around to the back of the net where he would cough up the puck. |

What a deal. Just not many GMs could have locked up Pierre and Mayfield like this. Let's not forget the 4-year deal for Ross Johnson.

Kvasha actually had some skill, but just no fire whatsoever. The ol' Kvasha net circle was a thing of legend. You could set your watch to it |

The NHL has chosen to punish the whole Isles team as opposed to Anders by letting him continue to play. Cruel, indeed. |

In all seriousness, it didn't look like Lee set out to hit the guy knee on knee. It looked like a hip check gone awry after the Devil moved to avoid it. I thought the 5-minute major was excessive, even after I watched the replay. |

I thought the same. Hischier moved to avoid the contact which led to the knee on knee. He definitely didn't deserve the game misconduct.

I like Roy but the rangers got the coach that the isles needed in laviolette. When they got him I figured he would get the most out of that team which also has a lot more talent. Torts or gallant would also fit the mold of what this team needs. That said Roy needs a full offseason to get this team dialed in assuming they miss the playoffs which is likely. Hopefully they dump some salary and get some speed and talent added |

He led with his knee intentional or not that was the correct call |

Sounds like the NHL has grounds to void his contract and kick him out of the league and I for one can't argue with that |

I think Lavy would have helped. Iām not sure how much Gallant could have helped. The roster needs the most work. Enough focus has been given to coaching. Time for Lou and this roster to get the heat. I would get rid of Houda though. |
