yo! Douchebag were you even alive the last time the laffs won a cup!? Very weak.! You’re an embarrassment! Your useless team one a playoff round last year for the first time In what ten years? I don’t know for sure because the laffs have been irrelevant for so long I don’t really pay attention unless someone like you tries to talk poop about the mighty laffs! Your nothing but an ahole with a mouth

Have you read your post?
By the sounds of them, you may not have been alive the last time the rangers won a cup.

They have a recent cup win, so who cares how they are playing. Winning a cup provides lots of leaway.
Also, this is a leafs blog, not vegas so its understandable that we arent talking about big bad vegas.
Anywho, its just a Tuesday game, im sure the leafs will play better against the caps. They'll bounce back, besides its just not a leafs blog if the sky isnt falling or the leafs arent so awesome.

- Fakepartofme

You're missing the point good sir.

For a team with a recent cup that everyone here wants to emulate, they are sitting in a wild card. My point being it's not a given just copying a roster is going to lead to being a juggernaut.
Yes it's a leaf blog HOWEVER it's consistently brought up to compare the leafs to these "better" teams.
My point once again being that injuries happen for every team, it affects random games, especially late in the season when the playoffs are all but locked in.

EDIT: Like it's hypocrisy right? Drexel excusing vegas because their stars are out but wouldn't do the same for the leafs. It happens all the time in this blog. I know some believe Marner SHOULDN'T be the straw to stir the leafs drink, and that's right, he shouldn't if you want to be a winner. However, Drexel wants to claim the champs (who he has mentioned being great throughout the year and others have) are in a 2nd wildcard is due to stars being out. Can't make an excuse for one team and then not the other. (Not saying you did this...it's a general point.)

On your last point, I agree. Without the crying can you truly call it a leafs blog?

Guitar question.
My son has a bass guitar and a squier or fender stratocaster.
Now wants a Les paul classic...the gibson version might be a little pricey..even used. But hows Epiphone? Hes not in a rock band, just jams on his own.
Big sound difference between les paul and a strat?

Dont you "good sir" me young man!
😜
Again, i don't read too much into last nights game, but i agree, we are missing a top line winger and dman, our quality jack of trades player in Jarnkrok and one of our big D. Plus the leafs have played quick of bit of games lately.
Bound to have an off night imo.

(most) Les Paul's will have dual humbuckers, big heavy guitar riffage. Think Slash/GNR, lots of grunge bands back then.

Go for used, Epiphones are fine. Guitars are rugged. Even if it needs to be setup again, a guitar luthier/tech who can do that won't charge a whole lot for a basic setup and it'll be like new and will sound as good as the real deal, which is mostly in the pickups and those can be swapped out if he wants to really deep dive into it.

Ok thanks, appreciate it.
Ya was looking at used in the $500- $700, seen some older versions that seem to have a little more of unique look to them.

Yes your concern is bang on, its use is important here.

When you say Squier that is a Stratocaster but a beginner’s level one. A new strat is around $1100 while a squier is only around $300. Notable differences like the wood used, the pickups and pots, etc but yes the Squier is for having fun with at home and a strat is something you’d want to get when you’re hitting stages, recording, getting serious in any way shape or form. A lot of it is digital nowadays and done online so if I were you I’d keep an eye on that and learn about any sites that are significant that are focused on this sort of thing. Playing at home is now commonly used seriously. I’d offer more on that but it’s not something I’ve done or know much about. However when you go to see bands play live anymore they’re typically older and so is the crowd. Hell my drummer is 40 and always says how he feels like the youngest in the crowd when him and his wife go out to see other bands.

As for the Epiphone and Les Paul it’s literally Gibson’s version of the Squier and Statocaster.

I think your only option here is to buy him this specific Les Paul.

The coolest guitar in the world. It’s old, so I’m sure you could get it for cheap.

No worries, and also FYI, if you ever decide to buy high end Fenders the ones built in Mexico vs the US are essentially the same. All the parts are but the finish is a tad different, polyester in Mexico and polyurethane in the US (or the other way around) so if anyone tries to charge notably more due to it being built in the US I’d advise looking into prices elsewhere before purchasing. Unless of course it’s an older US model which definitely deserves the research before buying so you can decide if the additional expense for its age is worth it, treat those like buying a classic car so to speak.

Not gonna lie, it's funny how many grown adults who consider themselves mature, intelligent, etc whine like a little female dog when faced with a timeout on h-buzz.

Last night was disappointing, I was mad when I turned off the TV. But lets be honest, this team is coasting into the playoffs and making sure people are healed up. Yeah, yeah, we haven't locked up a playoff spot, but nobody is actually worried about that. We lost a game we should have won, but their goalie stood on his head (and ours did not). We were missing our top line winger, our best offensive D man, our biggest, baddest Dman, and our Swiss Army Knife. This team looks vastly different come game 1 of the playoffs when, hopefully, everyone is healthy.

What are peoples thoughts on Timmins? I like how he moves the puck and I haven't seen many obvious brain farts.

I was a big fan of the acquisition of Timmins. Top draft pick, lots of skill. We shall see if he can turn into something but I like him.

Might be my reasoning to my loosey goosey approach. I’ll ban someone and they’ll be too stunned to whine about it until after it’s done anyways lol

Woll is not the answer.

Our goaltending is my biggest worry this year for playoffs.

I think the team is fortified enough not to shrivel but they're still not going far. Someone posted it earlier, they're not that good. They're better than the Phaneuf era and I think that's why some get over excited about their potential.

Lily should've been traded for an upgrade. Needs a fresh start some where else. He's sloppy and soft.

Leafs have also been inundated with flu and injuries and the Keefe blender never lets them gel in any way.

LOCK.THE.FU3KING.LINEUP.AND.LEAVE.IT.THE.FU3K.ALONE.

Keefe sucks. Keefe should be fired.

I’ll be the first to admit that I know nothing about guitars..

Reading his biography was a lot to take in, they go in detail about his set-up.. all way over my head. He painted it black I know that..

Just the (frank)in’ sound that thing makes is insane.. When I saw him live in Ottawa (2008ish?) I was on the floor, maybe 40 feet from him, and at the end of the concert after RITFW he goes in a trance, and rips the strings off Old Black.

I thought a portal to hell was opening up, but at the same time I was in heaven.
