With 10 games left - 9 after tonight - I doubt you see him. - FlyersGrace
Oh, I agree and said that prior.
With the way goaltending has been historically in Philly I would not be shocked though.

Say that to Boston who earned 33 points in OT this year. Your math is not mathing... - Flyfly
In the jd250 fantasy land, math can be anything you want it to be. Math, facts, basic common sense need not apply.

I think it's less about the math and more about appropriately judging the worth of a team once they hit the play-offs. |

No timeline from Briere for when Kolosov will be here. Breire stated he is dealing with a lot immigration stuff and according to Briere it keeps getting push out and pushed out. I will say it again, this bears watching. |

I didnt back read but did you guys read that cska in the khl terminated Fedotovs contract and that he’s cleared to play in the nhl now? That would be interesting - Hextall271
I didn't hear about him but Kolosov I did. |

You are just dumb as a stick .. there is no sense wasting any more time with you. I am not questioning that OT/SO wins give a team points. I am saying you can't gauge a team based on OT/SO since its not REAL hockey. |

❤️❤️❤️ - coffee junkie
What a crazy year tbh. I wonder if they can extend his contract once he comes over? It’d be good to keep him for a couple years on a reasonable deal to see what we’ve got here. It’d suck if he goes and he turns out to be a stud. |

So you are saying ignore OT hockey all together? Those 33 Boston points dont matter? Those ridiculous OT decisions by Torts are just a mirage and don't matter?

I don’t understand why he’d burn a year of that contract when he want allowed to come over. I wonder if the nhl has to rule on this one. |

LOL, once its proven that you've made numerous asinine and unintelligent statements. Again! On a daily basis. Then move the goal posts. I've addressed all of your points with facts. Objectively, no matter how you want to look at it. The Flyers are a mediocre or average NHL team.
Which person is dumb as a stick? The one who knows that winning less than half the games played means you're below .500 or the guy who thinks thinks that means you're above .500? LOL |

The IIHF might need to give approval as well before he could play. |

very good point. Did not even think about that. I want the kid over here ASAP. Just hope the transition is easier for him. This is only a win for the Flyers. See what the kid can do... positive news for sure.

He's a UFA after this season. Who knows where / if he signs. - FlyersGrace
I would not be surprised if the Flyers announce a new one or two year contract for him when he finally arrives. It won't be an ELC cause he's already 27.

That said, I'd hope that the Flyers would invite him over to see how he does for a potential re-signing for next season. I mean kick the tires... - FlyersGrace
I would play him instead of Sandstrom in Columbus on April 6th.

AFAIK if he plays in the NHL this season he'll be UFA on July 1. - Tomahawk
I was talking about next season. Cant see him getting here this season and getting up to speed on contending team like the Flyers. |

Jason "softball" Myrtetus - MJL
He's the Jack Edwards of Philadelphia.... well, maybe not that bad, but a homer nonetheless.

So Torts is fine speaking in the comfy confines of a Jas M interview (total Homer BTW) but wont address the media. Wonderful... - Flyfly
According to Torts today, he didn't address the media after the game because he had family at the game and wanted to spend time with them instead.
I think this is a really bad excuse. Just say you were pissed the team lost again in OT and didn't want to walk out again mid question. |

Jason works for team, so he has to be carefull. Its like this with every team in the league. Believe me when I tell you, the Flyers media are better than most, except Hartnell who is just brutal. |

The Flyers have 28 regulation wins, 27 regulation losses, so they are above .500 ... barely. But regardless, the Flyers are a good team that has had a good season so far. - jd250
That's just not reality, though. They have played 73 games, not 55. If you had stated that your opinion was that points percentage (or hockey .500, as Bill has been labeling it) is the better way of determining a team's success, I would have respected your opinion, while disagreeing with the premise, by not replying to your post. However, you called the few posters who have been making the distinction between winning percentage and points percentage liars (false narrative). The fact is that after EVERY NHL game each website that covers the game, the local and/or national postgame show and every morning newspaper will proclaim that one team won the game and the other lost.
Your enthusiasm and dedication to the Flyers is without doubt, but you are wrong in stating that they have an over .500 winning percentage at 36-37.
I agree the Flyers have had a good season thus far, but that is relative to the expectations for the 2023-24 Flyers. In a couple/few years this would not be a good season (at least that is my fervent hope). |
