I have faith he'll hit 30 goals or close to it again. The 14.7% he shot last year isn't like Reinhart shooting 25.4% this year where there's no way he can reproduce that. - Wetbandit1
One good year and 2.5 "meh" years. Still TBD if he's going to live up to that contract imo |

He just ate like 5 shots from Bertuzzi and didn't do a damn thing, then Bertuzzi came back for more and almost knocked him on his ass. Have some backbone, man - Wetbandit1
For the record, and you can find the "brawl" on Twitter, NO ONE dropped their gloves until Bertuzzi did towards the end of it, and then Thompson dropped his and was on top of Bertuzzi when it was all said and done. |

You were right. Leafs were kinda pansies for not dropping the mitts fast enough. Except Matthews. He got 10 but he didn't deserve it nor should he ever risk his hands in a fight.

Kulich with a goal today, had 8 SOG and 15 attempts.
Savoie with a goal and two assists for a 3 point night in Moose Jaw’s 5-4 win over Brandon to take a 2-0 Series lead. |

Took a quick look and based on cap hit, there's 60 players who have a cap hit between $7M per and $10M.
The average production for a season for that group is 60 points, whether that be 25 and 35, or 30 and 30.
The upper quarter of that group begins at 70 points, which is 30 and 40, or 35 and 35.
Can he be an average $7M player based on the above? Yes.
Can he be an upper quarter producer based on the above? Yes.
The power play being (frank)ing fixed would sure go a ways in helping, and that goes beyond just Cozens. |

Same old, same old...you try to play hard at the end, however, if you run into hot goalies then you will never obtain enough points. The same formula for disaster, year after year. When will this madness end? |

Savoie may start in Roch, I’ll be shocked if he finishes there.

Yeah, I mean, still got punched/shoved like 5 times and didn't do a damn thing except almost fall on his ass.
Thompson and his wonky hand/wrist should've been on the damn bench at that point, but no one else was doing anything, so he and Peterka jumped in at the end |

Only like Dahlin, Tuch, Greenway, Giordano, and Bertuzzi deserved it, everyone else was collateral damage, and the right call. |

Hopefully, these phux can keep losing so the Senators and Kraken can surpass them. 8th pick is better than 10th. |

It’s 13 years of frustration.
I understand why this fanbase is the way it is.
The Sabres aren’t as far off as some make it seem, but at the end of the day those who have the power to change it have to change it.
It comes with the territory - Swedish_Jesus
Yeah they are so close (to what?) they just need to stop losing. It’s so simple.

You know doing my morning workout and running on the treadmill, kinda felt like the Leafs skating through the Sabres Defense. Nice and Easy! |

I've got a new favorite for the Sabres pick in the 1st round in the upcoming draft.
His skating is very impressive.

You know 39, there's some really good players available probably to pick 13-15. I just don't trust the Sabres to draft the right piece. I don't think Adams uses the tools he has to best help the Sabres. Think he's narrow minded and has a one track mind of the players he chooses. |

When Terry hires a REAL President*, sets a budget and goes to sit on his yacht
Or
When Terry sells the team.
* Note: Kevyn Adams would NOT be a real President in this scenario |

At where the Sabres will pick, Yakemchuk or Parekh for me.
Making that pick will have little bearing on them making appropriate moves in the offseason, both in trades and FA signings. |

How would you rank these asset(s) in terms of biggest return in a trade:
1) Rosen
2) Savoie
3) Ostlund
4) Kulich
5) Benson
6) Quinn
7) Power
8) 24’ 1st round pick
9) 25’ 1st round pick |

Run em up or fill em in
People want fighting out of the game or want to pretend its insignificant but watch the lowly sabres night in and night out not be a real team. They don't battle for each other or their coach, very little heart and are certainly not willing to collectively pay the price to win.
How can anyone in that locker room honestly look at each other and say they would do anything it takes together as a team to win? |

In order, IMO
7, 5, 6, 8, 4, 2, 3, 1, 9
The interesting thing here will be how far does 9 move up the list as next season plays out. I have 9 in 9th because we don't know what it will be yet. Sabres, with help from other teams can finish in 8th for '24...draft that is, not in the Conference....that likelihood went out the window in Dec for sure.

I agree with your player ranks, I’d put the 24’ and 25’ 1st near the top though. Currently both are lottery picks.
Adams greatest assumed strength is drafting, so trading his best draft position would essentially be Adams working from a position of weakness. Is that in the best interest of the long term goal?
Granato will still be the coach, does trading for a gritty power forward help, if the system used by the team intentionally ignores the aspect of the game?
