Depends on what happens at forward this offseason. With as many ELC's they could have at forward they could technically spend more on Defense. - Buff36
Roy's current contract is $3,150,000, with Buffalo tax, my guess is it would take almost $5mm to get him to sign. If you're looking for a partner for Power how many years do you offer? Is he that much of an upgrade to Joker, and is he the type of dman that could fill that role?

What would a Roy contract look like?
Adams already spent $26,533,333 on 4 dmen. What % of the cap should go to defense...on a team known for piss poor defense? - washedup20
If Roy wanted to come, which is a real question, I think they could pitch him on a high average, low year option. 3x6M would make sense to me, but who knows if he bites at that price. I'd imagine he isn't getting more than 5x5 elsewhere. Our option would let him bet on himself while still making 18/25M in two less years. If he can mesh with Dahlin, he could be looking at a real hefty 3rd contract when ours ends. |

I can agree with this line of thinking, adding $6mm brings the total to $32,500,000 for 5 dmen,
Dahlin $11mm (overpaid - but good)
Power $8.35mm (severely overpaid)
Samuelsson $4.28mm (overpaid - oft injured)
Byram $3.8mm (still a ? - the GM is already afraid of his next contract)
Clifton $3.33 (obviously a satanist, that contract screams Terry's point of contact with the devil)
Who will fill in 6, 7 slots?
Mind you...none of these are one year deals! |

Clifton, I think, has really come around as the season has went on. I'm fine with him now. I think RyJo is 1 of the top6 next year. 7th defender isn't a huge deal for me, get a vet that can player coach, who doesn't have the last name of Johnson.

I think Rossi vs Quinn is still very close, agreed. But the kid just has IT. Not sure what it's called, but it's in his possession.
I'm glad he's on our side moving forward. Just need some healthy seasons now. - QuinnFan
Agreed. Injuries and the lost year with the heart issue with Rossi have kinda balanced. I guess I should have said wrong about Quinn as I was still right about Rossi being a good player (and he does and will play center at the NHL going forward). Quinn being the goal scorer helps even out that value. I wish them both success.
And hail satan. |

I think Samuelsson gets traded at some point, and maybe even Clifton at some point. I am actually going after Jani Hakanpaa for 2 or 3yrs. Be a decent mentor for Power, plus protect the kid and should only cost 2.5 to 3mill. By that time we should know about Strbak |

Dahlin $11mm (overpaid - but good) had to, coming off of last year, will end up a value deal imo
Power $8.35mm (severely overpaid) time will tell, I saw improvement as the year went on.

Byram $3.8mm (still a ? - the GM is already afraid of his next contract)

Trading Clifton would make signing FA's even worse IMO. How many have played out their full contract in Buffalo under Adams so far?
Samuelsson trade would surprise me, Adams loves his own.

I could spend hours showing you the symbolism at her concerts amongst everything else but you wouldn’t believe it anyways.
So why waste my time ?

You dig deep enough to find something you are looking for you will find a snippet and make a huge deal out of it
You do realize that performers have managers, directors, a whole massive team and they typically don't have the say in what is designed and how? But nope she is definitely a Satanist because you said so without showing a shred of evidence from her. You go on about the show, but what about her?
Did you know that you are a Satanist who drinks the piss from a unicorn? Don't worry I don't need to prove it, I saw something on Twitter, don't need your word |

UPL yes, Joker maybe, Krebs no.
No offer sheets here, doesn't make sense.
I think they'll try to upgrade Joker. Matt Roy maybe? - QuinnFan

The difference between Buffalo, NJ, Ottawa and the other teams near the bubble is the ability to get a game to OT or in other words, keep the games close. |

Hard not to agree there. The Power deal is tough stuff, but at least he seems to be turning it around some as well. Samuelsson is the one that I really hate at this point though. 4+ for a slow, bottom pairing guy, is just bad biz. I didn't mind them retaining him long term, but should've been for 1.5M less at least. |

Yeah, I think he plays the style we need. He's not a bruiser, which would be nice to have, but at least would be a great support guy to the youngins. |

What area of the roster do you think has the most potential, helps the team win now, highest risk of failure?

Does Krebs, Joker and UPL go to arbitration this season?
Do you think any Sabre gets an offer sheet?
What do you think the d pairs will be next season:
Dahlin Byram
Power Joker
Samuelsson Clifton
...does Ryan Johnson need more AHL time?
As of today, the Sabres will get smaller, younger and more expensive next season. - washedup20
I wouldn't be surprised to see UPL go to arb. |

Looking at recent SC wins, it's tough not to say defense. Each team that's won has had a pretty elite top4 if not entire top6. But I think our forward group has more potential overall. Dahlin is about at his peak IMO and while RyJo is interesting, he may not be this sure fire top4 some thought. Meanwhile, Petey, Tage, Quinn, Cozo, Tuch, Benny and all these 1st round forwards can really make some waves.
Agreed? |
