Laughts and tk even hart (I know) had high trade value last year. Didn’t move them. Or this year. (So far) they removed players they deemed cancers. Not for rebuild purposes.
They stated rebuild but moves that bring value aren’t made (yet)
Tort was hired to change culture. Bring order. (Mixed bag)
There’s still time. We shall see - Stayin alive
I see your point, but they tried to trade Sanheim and Krug said no. I agree with you on moving Scott Messier Laughton is long overdue. I liked extending Tippett and not trading. Not a fan of extending a 3rd pair Dman in Seeler. I don't think both Farabee and TK.will be on the roster next summer. Let's see which one goes.

Maybe Tortorella can find a nice house plant to take that space on the mantel that had cleared out for the Jack Adams numerous posters on here said he was going to win.

They are not gassed they just lack top end talent who can win by themselves. No team can play the way the Flyers have to play to win for 82 games. It’s physically and mentally impossible. Pastrnak and Kucherov can win games by themselves. Colorado can play 20 minutes and beat the bad teams of the league. A good powerplay can make up for lazy 5 on 5 play. This is just who they will be until some higher end players arrive. - psuhockey
You just contradicted yourself. They aren’t gassed. Then it’s impossible to mentally and physically play hard for 82 games. This wasn’t a lack of high end talent tonight. This was a do nothing can’t get poop going game. |

Sanheim is meh to be honest. It’s not a horrible contract but not great by any means. He is what he is. Personally I’m not team sanheim or against it. He’s a nothing burger in my eyes.
Same kinda goes for bee.
If they can move them for assets ( fair assets not just pawned off) I’d be fine.

Scoring chances in the game at 5 on 5 were 27 to 14 Flyers. It's not a lack of high end talent? They scored one goal. Did you think Soderblom stood on his head in the game?

Nah, I don't move goal posts. You however live in your own reality and have an obvious fetish about adding in ABSOLUTELY to my comments. You acted like an ass tonight.

I agree about Michkov, I don't know what they do to get another center with skill. The roster has tradeable pieces, plus dead weight salaries coming off the books next summer. They have a chance to greatly remodel the team. I certainly hope they do.

Let’s just hope this is a wake up call for the organization that they should be nowhere near thinking about turning a corner. Start selling |

It’s actually pretty impressive that this group played balls to the wall playoff hockey for as long as they did. There were times during the season where it appeared the candle was burned through like right before the all star break.
Do they have another bounce back in them this season or are the wheels truly off?

We commented earlier about this. I am very concerned about Risto getting back on the ice. Way too quiet about his injury. I am very concerned. Hart and Risto were potential assets that could be used to reshape the roster. Laughton has to be moved and a decision on Tk this summer is the litmus test on how far they are willing to go

The organization is thinking this completely backwards as usual. Given a complete gift drafting a talent like MM at 7. Not only that, you have three years to strip it to the studs with no expectations and get more elite talent.
Instead what do they do? Start laying the groundwork for The Standard and Culture thinking they are ready to compete the second the dude comes over. Handing out 8 year deals to multiple pretty good players instead of elite players.
Nonsensical. |

Risto wasn’t anywhere close to being an asset. He was going to cost the Flyers to get rid of. |

Watching the last few games, the Flyers defensive structure breaks down, they break down. Their entire game starts with that. That is how they're coached and how they're taught to play. Offensively, it's a combination of things. One, lack of transition play from the defense. Injuries and trades have hurt that. On their chances, they aren't from the high danger and greasy areas of the ice. Not enough traffic and not getting inside and too the net. No rebounds. That's how most goals are scored in this league. On the PK, all year they've had it go their way with aggressive plays looking to score shorthanded. Tonight, Konecny jetted the zone twice and then didn't get back on the Foligno goal.

It’s a terrible wording more so than a contradiction. Gassed to me means the body has no more energy to play anyway at all. What I was trying to say is it’s not possible to mentally get ready to play the kind of physical game the Flyers need to play to win. Great teams with elite talent can wait for a powerplay or play pond hockey to a few minutes and win a game. The Flyers mentally relax for 5 minutes and it’s multiple goals in the net against regardless of who they are playing. |

Well, they could have used a salary retention slot and moved him. They have a ton of money coming off the books next summer- TK, Atkinson, Johannson, Petersen, Hathaway, DeAngelo buyout. Let's see what they do.

Ristolainen would've been difficult to move and the Flyers would've likely taken it on the chin if they could. Why be concerned about him? They aren't getting a serious rebuild asset for him.
