I agree about Michkov, I don't know what they do to get another center with skill. The roster has tradeable pieces, plus dead weight salaries coming off the books next summer. They have a chance to greatly remodel the team. I certainly hope they do.

That gives so much ammo you can easily go get your center. And then some. Middling and (frank)ing around like they did this season only hurts in a rebuild

Last season they should've kept playing Hayes, let him continue on his season where he was in the middle of career season offensively. Instead, Tortorella had to (frank) with him, demoted him and cut his ice time and devalued the potential return for an asset.

The organization is thinking this completely backwards as usual. Given a complete gift drafting a talent like MM at 7. Not only that, you have three years to strip it to the studs with no expectations and get more elite talent.

Instead what do they do? Start laying the groundwork for The Standard and Culture thinking they are ready to compete the second the dude comes over. Handing out 8 year deals to multiple pretty good players instead of elite players.

Gut check time. The last two have been two of the worst all year…MTL and CHI are terrible…the Flyers just chased the last two games…horrible goaltending, give aways that we’re not happening early on, and no ability to beat some average goaltending.

They have had 136 shots and scored 8 goals. That’s including 5 against the only above average goalie…Shesterkin in the 6-5 loss. They can’t score and can’t keep the puck out of their net…ugly…but they still have time. I’d still like to watch some playoff games…but they are really starting to leak.

If this game was in Chicago they might’ve had the chance 27-14 in favor of Chicago. Means nothing. Just like blocks or shots etc etc. what I saw 5 on 5 was much closer than your 27-14 flyers home team stat. I’d put it more 60/40 flyers.

Outside of Celebrini this draft isn’t really worth tanking for so this season won’t hurt the rebuild as much as you think.

Next year looks to have some high end forwards especially at center and the Flyers will likely be worse next season. They very well could stumble into everything they need by accident.

Hey dumb dumb I know the analytic system they use. You know technology right? They program it. Just because they program the system to read a play and put a checkmark in this case scoring chance or not doesn’t mean it’s not subjective.

For example you and I see a play by coots. You deem it elite and I don’t. It’s subjective. You put it into your calculator system and I do too. Guess what genius. My rts system reads different than yours.


That’s why you don’t just go by those. 3 chances by bedard my ass. No one WATCHING that game saw only 3 chances. And just because a shot or something WASNT taken doesn’t mean it wasn’t a chance when a play is going on. Like I say said subjective.
