On a serious note, sometimes when a player has as much ability as Frost has it can be a curse, because they don't know when to just make a straight ahead simple play. Too much indecisiveness because of too many possibilities .. that's the curse.

Again, an NHL season is 82 games long. Standings are based on points, not point percentage. Going into tonight's game, the Flyers and Caps were tied in points and tied in tie breakers, thus the Caps were listed ahead of the Flyers in the standings because they played 2 less games. My point earlier today was simply that this was a must win game if the Flyers hoped to hang on to 3rd place. But the trolls want to talk about point percentage.

It's not a curse. It's just stupid. It's 3 on 3 OT. Nothing good happens when you purposely keep the puck in your own end and BS around. Trying to be too dam cute. That's what happens. A pass jumps off your stick and it's a turnover and in your net. Game over. The biggest issue tonight was the Flyers had a lousy first two periods and didn't start playing until the 3rd. They got lucky just to get to OT. At 5 on 5, the Flyers got nothing from their best offensive players in Konecny, Frost, Tippett and Farabee.

No, he was wrong, they were in 4th place before the game.

The team looked like everyone was in a deep depression...soft on sticks, floppy knuckle pucks, Tippett kept trying to score between the Islanders skate blade. Then they scored to tie it up and they looked like they just won the Olympics Gold...

Clearly something is going through the locker room. Can't wait to see how they look next game after this let down. Possible they play like someone shot their dog before the game.

It's sad that in the face of overwhelming facts, you're still doubling down. Just learn from it and know better next time. Not going to happen though is it. Points percentage is how the league differentiates teams in the standings that are tied in points. It is not fake, it is real. Accepted by everyone in the world but you. You are a flat earther in 2024.

And the Islanders really sat back in the 3rd letting the Flyers get back into it. But yes, overall can't argue anything here. The Flyers picked a really bad time to revert to not playing 60 minutes of hockey. That 2nd period was one of the worst periods of hockey I have seen them play this year.

I’d really be stunned if they get in.
