For sure… Torts is right in one sense….you learn about guys when the games get ramped up in intensity. It’s important for some of these young guys to go through this. Even if they fail. - landros 2
You made a valid point with TK and a possible extension. He was not good tonight. He had a turnover on the 3rd goal. He needs to make an impact the last 6 games. Sure seemed like TK and Farabee shared space in the doghouse tonight. Tippett was better then both of them, but it was not a high bar. Poehling and Laughton are redundant- one needs to go-obviously it needs to be Laughton.

They're spent. Physically and emotionally. It's a miracle it didn't fall off the rails much sooner. - MJL
I was expecting it in late Jan/ early February

I know we weren’t supposed to care this year and all that. I probably even said it too.
But I’m pretty bummed out that after how hard they played this year to get into playoff position they are just crumbling now at the end.
Sucks. Wanted to see them in the playoffs. - Flyers1218
The eagles were in the playoffs too. That was great |

I like TK…but that’s a big commitment. I would hope for more. Laughton really played well out of the all star game but has really been disappointing the last 4 or 5 games. I like Poehling but he can’t be a go to guy like Torts uses him. Problem is no one else is stepping up. |

As others have mentioned and I agree, either extend or trade TK this summer. His value won't go higher at the deadline if he is not part of the future.

I'll just say it's not over yet. They're still in a playoff spot. Washington has to win some more games. - MJL
I think they still have a chance. Didn’t see tonight’s game but sounds like Fedotov has the goods and can help get to the finish line. I think the Caps will take third and the Flyers can beat out the Wings. Detroit’s is beating good teams but can they keep it up? Philly has to win games over the teams behind them in the standings. To use a baseball cliche “ It’s not over till it’s over” |

I can't imagine how it feels to be giving it your all over the course of the season and to have your coach call you out the entire team, repeatedly (when the man who preaches accountability actually shows up to pressers).

That's how you lose the room. This coach apparently loves and looks for confrontation. If I was a veteran leader on that team. He would be getting a confrontation.
