I mean the rangers played the entire game with 3 lines and 4 d men. Can we give them a little slack for not playing a perfect game? Devils have some high end talent too lol. A win is a win this time of year |

We dominated but gave up 3 very high danger scoring chances on terrible plays that they capitalized on |

Lol 8 players getting thrown out? - TPC
i luv it...make the teams play 4 players short each for the whole game...
need to get this BS out of the game....
rempe is a clownish fad...hope is ass is out of the league sooner than later...
quite the talent...cheap shotter, fighter, gets thrown out and get suspended.
Seems to enjoy getting tossed than actually playing the game...

You do realize he had no choice but to fight there, The rest of the team just decided they wouldn't let him fight alone. Rempe admitted his hit on Siegenthaler was a poor choice and he has to be better. |

Jan you don’t need to respond to this guy. That goes without saying. Everyone knew what was about to transpire at puck drop |

Having the best player doesn’t guarantee you a series victory in the playoffs. It’s unrealistic expectations to say that the success of the rangers signing of a Atemi Panarin should only be judged on whether the rangers win the Stanley Cup. The best player in hockey has not won a Stanley Cup, or even gotten to a cup finale
Edit : by Brukie standards -the oilers should have passed on McDavid - Greschnergy#4
I know you are too ignorant to understand my thinking at the time but I will run it down for you again. Rangers were in a rebuild with multiple over valued contracts, signing him at the time forced us to buyout multiple contracts instead of trading them for assets. His contract at the time was second most expensive behind Mcdavid although never had finished top 5 in scoring. Having him on the team did not help us lose games but rather have us in the middle of the pack but we won the lottery 2 years in a row so of course that point was moot. I had said Panarin was not a proven commodity to carry a team in the playoffs to justify that contract.
Of course your stupidity once again shines though not knowing the difference for drafting a player and paying him league minimum and signing a player who was never a top 5 player in the league at scoring to the second most expensive contract in the league at the time. Even still the Oilers are proving even with 2 of the best players in the world doesnt guarantee winning anything. So signing the best free agent doesnt mean anything.
As a fan I always got excited when the Rangers signed all these free agents but to always come up short in the playoffs, my expectations have tempered over the years so signing him at the time was against what the Rangers were suppose to be doing with a rebuild
So until we win a Cup, to me, he will just be another high priced free agent signing. I dont give a (frank) what you think because you are a moron anyway. |

Wow. Who submits their line up card first? So, McDermid was starting the game for NJ. Lavy responded with Rempe to get it over with. And then NJ decided they needed to send a message and have additional staged fights. But, somehow this is the Rangers fault.
Gotta love the intelligence we've bred in our society. |

That was some game last night. Spirited from start to finish. I'm glad I don't post during the game LOL. Sure, they let their foot of the gas for a bit, but they were also down two top 4 D men from the start of the game. I am more than willing to give them the benefit of the doubt. It was a great game and glad Kreider scored the game winner. Really need him and 93 to get it together a bit 5x5 though.
How about Igor dropping his blocker! That would have been something to see. Also, Miller clowning Marino was amazing. Wish he brought this side of his game out more often.

During the fight, Miller had his necklace ripped off. Igor was simply picking it up off the ice and not getting ready to engage. - climbdenali12

Pretty average, ho hum game last night. In all seriousness, it wasn't pretty but was happy to see them dominate the 3rd and take advantage of a tiring Devils team.
They have these pockets in these games where they lose themselves. That needs to stop but great execution in the 3rd. Panarin was electric. Pang-arin was fun too |

So Mika was so bad, the guys ejected had better games? Is that correct? I still have faith in him
according to the charts anyway |

I actually love that you asked this. And I'm being genuine. The answer is yes and no. Yes in that he was on the ice for more scoring chances, goals against, expected goals against than all of that for the Rangers compared to the guys who got thrown out.
No in the sense, because obviously those 4 didn't play so it's impossible to say they would have played better or worse.
In short, the 4 guys tossed didn't do enough to impact the game negatively. Zibanejad did. And boy oh boy was he bad. Woof. |

TNT's coverage of that opening brawl was as bad as anything Ive ever seen, I had no idea all the guys were fighting |

I thought the Cuylle-Wenny-Kakko line was fantastic. If Laviolette deploys these guys as their "shut down" line in the playoffs you'd get no argument from me. Loved their game. Kakko since his return has been very SOLID. I still think his a top 6 player but not with CK and MZ. Those 2 have proven difficult to mesh with and is fine in his current role. Best case is, assuming he is still on the team is he plays with Chytil next season. I'll sign for that and hopefully he has a Laf-like bump in production.
That being said, I thought Roslovic was better. He needs to stop deferring to those two and just start putting the puck on net and play his game.
