We really need some fourth liners that can pinball the puck around o zone and hit everything that touches it. |

Carter made some bad decisions and weak plays today. 4th line looked much better when he was out. |

Ek and Letang both gonna break 50 points. I love how their points are nearly identical. |

It turns out, when you give Malkin real wingers, he can be a really good player still. |

Tampa is playing some good hockey too. Beat Boston, nyr, Toronto, Vegas, Florida recently.
Caps and isles have a game in hand but our lives are damn near in our own hands. |

If any team stays out of the penalty box, they have a good chance to beat Tampa in a playoff series. 5 on 5 they are nothing special.

Easier said then done.
Best thing about playing them in the playoffs would be the refs might be more willing to swallow their whistle. |

They actually call more penalties in the playoffs.

It's a weird paradox where a lot of people think there's less calls in the playoffs. I think it's because there's a lot more let go haha. The games are more adrenline fueled... Higher intensity and that brings more battles and chippyness, usually. |

Flyers currently down 3-0, Islanders tied at 0 at the 1st intermission.
Decent chance the Penguins end the night in the #3 place in the Metro.
I'd much rather play the Rangers than the Hurricanes, even though it feels like we've played no one except those frankers in the playoffs. |

Carolina can still win the division so no point in worrying about that right now. All that matters is making the playoffs right now |

More context here than tsn simply suggests:
https://theathletic.com/4...fs-penalties-power-plays/
Calls/ PP’s per game are not uniformly distributed throughout a series nor the entire run to the Cup. The tsn analysis is naive; the data per 60 thing can be skewed by a few games early in the series when the refs were busy. Specifically, games 1-4 during rds 1 and 2 according to athletic article. During these games there are 3.5 pp (per team) per game. That pp rate drops to 2.8 per team for the remaining games thereafter. Elimination games have an affect on ref’s eyesight as well. |

I agree, there are a lot more penalties committed and so the refs by the data call more, but more are let go. Also as stated below the 1st 4 games they call more and less ganes 5-7 |

Philly lost again. What’s crazy though is all 6 cbus goals were by dmen. |
