My assumptions are valid. These are not. What is Roy going to do with a stale roster? The Pens are aging and are just gonna be a year older next year. The Caps are a roster in flux. They all could very well be in the same spot or worse next year.

Totally agree. I noticed that too about him really having trouble tracking the puck. He looked lost...like he would give up on tracking the puck with traffic in front and just hope that the puck hit him.

It's going to be a learning curve for him. It's a shame the flyers have no real backup goalie they can count on.

I disagree that he was terrible. The first goal was essentially a breakaway with a highly skilled player. Even the best of NHL goalies get beat on breakaways. The 2nd and 3rd goals were snipes from skilled players in the dead slot. Not impossible saves but not egregious either. Horrendous defense and really good hard, well positioned shots. The 4th goal, I have an issue with. He lost his technique and folded in his right leg losing his butterfly position and exposed the net on the rebound

he wasnt...Buff's 2 & 3rd goals, the player came straight down the middle and picked the corner from between the circles. The broadcast showed a camera angle from the opposite end, essentially, the shooter's( Quinn) POV. Skilled NHL players hit that spot in their sleep given that postion

In my opinion, the Caps will push a bit for Ovi's goal scoring record...they have some cap space and mightmake a final push for Ovi to become the all time leading goal scorer.

Yes I believe Roy is a great coach. He did well in Colorado until he wanted to much power on team decisions. The Islanders seem to be playing a better game under him, and a proper summer and training camp with him and they should be improved. Sorokin has also shlt the bed lately. I have said many times, I wanted Roy as coach of the Flyers.
