its very important for negative people to recruit others - jimbro83
It’s pretty funny kreiders 5v5 numbers may suck but pretty sure he has scored the game winning goal in the last 3 wins. Yea I will take that come playoff time |

Well said, Teege.
I pulled up some stats to wade further into the Zib is fine/Zib is struggling/Zib is struggling at 5v5 debate and was pleasantly surprised to find that with this latest little run he's on, he is close to being within 10% of his averages over the last 5 seasons. Both in points per game and percentages of points at EV/PP/SH.
So, while I was prepared to defend him, it seem like no defense should even be needed!!
Again, all this is secondary to the fact that we all know that this all means nothing if we don't show up after April 15th. - Tonybere
This and Thank you

Also, truth is you were not a fan of Zib. You were a keep Hayes guy over Zib when there was that decision to be made. I think kreider has had a great season, statistically the exact season as Zibanajad. - Greschnergy#4
Yup, I made no secret about it, also how I was completely wrong
Ive said for years now Zib is definitely a top 10 center in the league. I just think we should be able to discuss rationally when our top players aren't playing well and how its a detriment to the team. Just like Panarin being awful in the playoffs. |

I see nothing in my comment that read like a person having difficulty.
I'll try to keep my phrasing to a 5th grade level in the future. Apologies. |

Kreider can be the least or most engaged person on the ice at any given point and that’s what is frustrating. The fact that he can be like that and still put up 35+ goals is a testament to how good he is at deflecting shots. When he’s on, he’s so much fun to watch. When he disappears and gets lazy it’s disappointing. But then again he can be invisible all game and then tip a puck in and all is forgiven |

Rationally- go to NHL stats.com and you will see that their counting stats ( kreider and Zib) are almost identical in terms of BOTH 5 x 5 and PP and like Tony said- very close to historical averages. and to my eyes and Tjs he is fine. Certainly not his best but a long way from a poor season |

It’s hard to be mad about it anymore. They’re contributing on the PP when it matters most.
Obviously shocking how they’ve been consistently mediocre 5v5 all season. Why not just treat it like a PP and shoot from anywhere with Kreider in front. They wait for the perfect play. I have a feeling Kreider is going to strap Mika on his back this postseason and go full on 2014 beast mode. |

So any one else a little surprised Panarin didn't get the award. I mean the season he is having, holy poop.
Trochek also having a great season so he deserved it as well. |

He is always like this regular season, streaky player. One thing though he always shows up in the playoffs
He is turning 33 this month. Since they have had a playoff spot locked up for a bit maybe he saving some extra gas for the Playoff run |

I think it’s meant to go to a player who’s not usually recognized with accolades and highlights night in and night out but has played their asses off all season |

Trocheck is Callahan lite. I understand why he got it. He blocks hots, hits, good on faceoffs. |

Last couple of years, and even deep runs, we didn’t have much to pick up the slack.
