I think sports betting and alcohol ads would be great to loosen the tight ass Mormons up. A couple of FUs yelled from the coach to the ref, a few rounds of alcohol, and Cabbie promoting the odds and after that off to the Tabernacle. |

I don't know what it is like now a days, but when I went there years and years ago, it was near impossible to get beer. - VANTEL
I was there 6/7 years ago, and it was fine from what I could tell. My GF did her PhD there and said it changed a lot – you used to have to be a "member" of the bar to enter and get a drink kind of thing. |

I guess if the Utah Jazz can make a profit a NHL team could also.

Nope, overplayed.
We tried to warn LH this was going to happen. - golfingsince
He’s one assist shy of 100, a feat only accomplished by three players in the history of the NHL, but yeah, they’re probably resting him… |

I was there two years ago and no problems getting a drink. Most bars/pubs have strange hours of operation but beer is everywhere.

Knoblauch told reporters on Tuesday that the team is more focused on ensuring their players are in top form ahead of Game 1.
"The most important thing is playoffs, that we are ready," he said. "I think we’ve got depth. You’re never going to replace Connor, but we’ve got healthy bodies.
"We want to make sure everyone is healthy as much as possible going into the playoffs."
Sounds like they’re pretty concerned about McDs stats there. |

I was just there over spring break.
Apparently some funny rules about food with alcohol, but not too dissimilar to B.C.’s antiquated liquor laws tbh. |

I got kicked out of viewing the tabernacle for having a six pack in my bag. When I went to eat there was a two beer limit.
Things have changed since then. |

I dunno man, he has an opportunity to be name checked with Mario Lemieux, Wayne Gretzky and Bobby Orr. But you’re probably right, he’s probably happy to get a few nights off instead. |

Until he either exceeds their accomplishments or better yet, win a Stanley Cup, he'll never be uttered in the same breath with Lemieux or Gretzky or Orr. All of them won multiple Stanley Cups in their careers and dominated the league. He's for sure a tier below them, even Crosby (and now MacKinnon) who isn't and wasn't as prolific a scorer as McDavid are on a slight tier above him due to each winning a Cup(s). |

Mcdavid hasn’t won any team championships in his life, your right until he does that he’s a tier down. |

Man that oiler knight game lacks playoff energy from what I seen. |

Well this game against Yotes became important with Oilers leading VGK. |

Kuzmenko has played 24 games for the Flames. He has 1 goal against a playoff team. And that was his first game.
Good at scoring against bad teams, bad at scoring against teams that actually play defense - NewYorkNuck
The flames are a tire fire that play without structure. No surprise Kuzy is scoring as he has the talent but he could never play for a contender |

Canucks tie it then Silovs lets in another softy. Demko better be ready. |

Regardless, no other player (besides the three mentioned) has recorded 100+ assists in a season. And both McDavid and Kucherov are likely to do it this season.
And the point is, when on the precipice of an accomplishment like that, competitive people aren’t likely to take a break to get some extra rest. |

Yes, but if it means being fully ready for the playoffs and giving yourself a chance to heal up a nagging injury from the grind of the regular season when you're all but locked into your playoff position, you do it regardless of your stats. I think McDavid and Kucherov would take being completely healthy in anticipation of a long playoff run rather than break some arbitrary milestone that in the end means nothing if you aren't at least getting a ring at the end of it all. In the end the Cup is everything, and I think both would trade an assist or goal for winning the Cup and gladly, at least if they're team players and not out for themselves. |

Garland getting his 20th on the so far scoreless PP to tie it would be a fitting storyline. Then his Hatrick for game winner lol. Positive vibes now let’s see how it breaks. |
|
|
|
Okay I’ll take Petey scoring on PP as a good story line he needed that as much as Canucks. Now do we have Garland for game winner? |
