Can't recall who it was, but someone on the radio yesterday made an interesting observation. Lindholm bet on himself this year and didn't sign a long term contract but held out to maximize free agency. With the year he had both in Calgary and Vancouver, this currently looks like it's going to backfire on him. He will basically now have the playoffs to showcase himself, so he should come back with at least that extra motivation to give it his all. We'll see what happens. - we_are_all_canucks
Good point.
I’m optimistic myself that he can come back and make an impact.
If Demko and Lindholm were playing last night, I don’t think it would have been such a nail biter at the end.

He’s going where Conroy trades Markstrom to. They’re best friends that do a lot of stuff together in the off season. You’re right about him though, I hope he lights it up for the Canucks in the playoffs. It will make the playoffs much more enjoyable to watch. Sorry anyone but the Oilers! |

Apparently not. Good strategy. - we_are_all_canucks
Again, I don’t pay his salary, you can’t make players stay.
It’s really stupid, we pick a team to cheer for when we’re younger, live and die with that choice for the rest of your life. Unless you’re Lefty, then you pick an another flavour whenever you need something more to cheer for.

With the gauntlet of powerhouse teams in the West, unlikely this season. Canucks a little too green. - Oildrum
Coaching staff isn’t green, they will have them ready. |

I see Green has really turned things around in New Jersey. (sarcasm) |

Really it's only Vantel, Lordy and Reuby, you're talking the bottom of the gene pool here, LOL....well, Reuby has come around on both Hughes and Pettersson, so good on him for understanding young players need to grow into great players. The talent was always there, they just had to round out their games to be more complete. - Pacificgem

I actually think Conroy's hands were tied, and he simply took what he thought would give him the best long term result. Not his fault that Treliving put the Flames in such a pickle, then left the mess for someone else to clean up.
Treliving is going to completely mess up Toronto for years to come. And I'm here for it.

I know you can be overly sensitive, so just so you know, I was joking around. Winky face!! |

What a soft crowd in here.
Three pages of rambling because I don't like EPs contract.
You guys think it will be a bargain in three years, I think it will bite them in the ass. Who effin cares what I think or anyone else. |

I said yesterday that Likker was 4 pounds lighter than Petey and the Guardians came out in full force. Now there's a sensitive crowd.

Yes, BC is full of extremely sensitive wing-nuts....this is not something new to those of us that grew up there. Why do you think the Green Party was spawned on the left coast? |

For the record I stood up for Petey last night. That interference penalty was bogus. I thought how can he interfere while he is lying on the ice flat on his ass. |

I think whoever the guy was that crosschecked him in the ribs woke him up and lit a fire in him. Kid had an excellent game last night. |

Petey just isnt my type of player. Sure points are nice, but I prefer an all around bigger, tougher player that can impact the game in other ways when the points arent there. I would do a Brady T deal in a heartbeat for him, with other pieces involved either way as required. |

This is a solid post, if they don’t like a player maybe make the point of why and then discuss why in an intelligent conversation.
How absolutely childish it is to continually mock something no one here had any input into, 11.6, 11.6, Bambi, 11.6, Bambi, a few here need to grow the (frank) up, it isn’t sarcasm, it isn’t comical, it is purely childish and in my mind speaks to the character and lack of intelligence to belong in a societal environment. - Makita

The entire team played very well last night. You play a SC winner and beat them in a playoff type game then you put it in your pocket and run.

Good, not excellent, imo. He wasnt a liablity, went to the net, and played a good positional game. |

I like the player at 9.5, I don't like 11.6. I don't know why people get agitated at what I like or don't like. I won't like Hronek long term and I probably won't like his salary. I wouldn't like Brock over 10 mil also.

I dont mind the cap hit actually. The % is refelective of a player at that age, that puts up those points. But his overall strength and ability to stay on his feet are sorely lacking.
Please dont read this if you are offended...oops too late. |
