Every summer I have to trick my brain and tell myself "No, the Flyers are not drafting and losing on purpose". Some of these picks go way beyond they just got unlucky and other teams do it too.

How many teams passed on Shane Wright? If the Flyers had the #1 pick in 2022, would they? Probably not.

I still think about how different this club is if they drafted Pettersson, Makar or Heiskanen.

Understand, but the odds of success have to be higher at 2nd overall. I get the O"Brien pick being a miss, but that was at least around 20 overall. No doubt they need more talent and it won't be attained thru free agency this summer. I expect trades.
