he's 30 years old lol... it's fine if you're fed up with him and you want him traded, I get it, but his age isn't an issue whatsoever.

The core of the team is under 25 ... Armia will be "geriatric" in hockey terms before this team is ready to compete seriously.

was it an entertaining game?

and I just saw that the caps are now in a playoff spot, I was not expecting that with the season they were having.

yeah, I disagree, he's in good shape and represents a decent veteran to have around, to each his own.

To each their own indeed ... I see zero future for him in a Habs uniform.
Time will tell ...

Personally, if I had a choice to make on who to retain as a veteran presence it would be Matheson, the guy can skate like the wind and I predict he will still be effective at 34-35 years old when we become competitive.

I also love David Savard but I believe it would be preferable for us to trade him at this point, solid D but his best years are behind him.

All IMO obviously.

it was okay. i saw most of the second and third periods and you could just sort of tell it was going to stay low scoring and close.

In other news ... Karl Alzner's final year of his buyout contact is coming due ($833,333) at the end of the season.

Emelin wasn't traded, he was actually picked up by Vegas during the expansion draft and was almost immediately traded right after to Nashville.

oddly enough though he only played 1 season with the preds, I'm not sure if it's because he wasn't good enough anymore or he simply wanted to go back home and play in mother Russia, which kind of sounds silly if he had the option of staying in the NHL.
