So the Flyers are going to draft 15-16. I wonder which middle 6 winger they’ll draft. Can’t wait to see Michkov’s career wasted just like Giroux’s.

That's why I said pipeline, but the goaltenders they do have are adequate enough for the team in front of them right now. No point going out to get a high priced one, even one with a good track record, just to get torched.

Arguably, the Flyers pipeline of NHL goalies has been pretty impressive over the last decade - Bob, Lyon, Stolarz- too bad they play better when they leave the Flyers.

This team just loves mediocrity. As do the fans.

They've come this far, might as well.

Don’t see anyone saying go get a high priced goalie. Would be dumb and typical Flyers.

Will be interesting to see if they go into next year with the 2 they have or add a solid vet.

There's a reason they look better after they leave.

I am hoping Rizzo succeeds.

Maybe it's patience or its the team in front of them. There's very very few goaltenders that play solid and consistent with a poor team in front of them. It's the chicken and egg argument...does a good defensive team make a goalie look good or does a great goalie make a team look good defensively.

I do wonder if Rizzo signs with the Flyers. Certainly an organization that needs help at center.

My gut says he has no plans to sign with the Flyers, but maybe the Flyers know something no one else does which would explain why the rumors targeted Rizzo to Flyers before the trade.

Wings killing Leafs. Caps up by one.

I expect the Penguins to shutout the Bruins.

Flyers are going to miss playoffs by a couple of potential OT Points lost do to Torts stubbornness when he used 2 defensemen in OT or started OT with nothing but defensive players.

Stolarz and Lyon each played 19 games for the Flyers. Bob played 83. I hope the Flyers just let Ersson, Fedotov, and Kosolov a chance to play next season. No.vet backup. Give them all some time.

If they miss the playoffs or not you can’t poop on the players for winning the last two games. If they beat Washington and drop a spot in the draft so be it.
It’s up to DB to do the right thing. At this point it’s not a players issue.
The flyers were predicted to be anywhere from a bottom five to playoff bubble team.
Well the that’s what we have.
It’s up to DB to make the team into a bonafide playoff team then to Stanley cup contenders. From there winning multiple cups.
I am hopeful DB gets it but I ant say I am confident.

I would hope the Flyers avoid the temptation to bring in the next Brian Elliott or Martin Jones as the vet backup to Ersson. Rely on the goalie depth in the organization and may be find out what they have in house. That was my basic point.

If they get an NHL player buying out DeAngelo, that is very much a win. Certainly does not make up for the stupidity of trading for DeAngelo.
