Really can't wait to see Bedard play alongside Nazar. The talent is starting to creep in ever so slowly on this team. The future is bright 😎

From last blog;

Lil Frankie in the fold.
- wiz1901

Over the last month or so, he was the best player on the ice for MI, better than Brindley, McGroarty, and Casey.

Hope he continues that upward climb.

Know they are both Centers, but wouldn't mind seeing him center Bedard for a couple games to end the season.

Centre shouldn't necessarily mean you can't run both guys on the same line. Bedard has gotten better at draws - and I expect Nazar probably will have a similar developmental trajectory at this level. But I mean, tactically, there is no reason that you can't mix and match as needed - even in the context of lines - happens all of the time on the PP ... comes down to what is a line match up?

At the same time, what exactly is a forward? I don't mean to be sounding overly cryptic, but back in the day there was a lot of interchangeability with forward play - once you got going, you'd literally be playing any of the 3 spots -and doing it on the fly. The Soviets were really adept at that in the 70's and 80's. And they're still like that to a degree - all I am saying is - I don't specific positional role as that big of a deal - especially not at a high professional level.

What did we settle on in the last blog? Nabustzar? I think he'll be a fine addition to the Middle Six.

There is no (frank)ing middle six Bub! There’s a top 6 and bottom 6.

And Nazar is definitely a bust. Too small and with that last name was probably a Euro at some point.

Middle six? Not a chance, probably fourth line in Rockford. All kidding aside, can’t wait for the draft lottery, the draft, free agency, and the start of the next season in the fall, it should be more fun and watchable hockey.

After signing the three kids only Ludwinski is in the lineup tonight vs Askarov and first place Milwaukee.

I believe that Rockford has about two games remaining after tonight. They are securely in the playoffs and challenging for 2nd place in their division tonight.

Denver just shutout BU 2-0 for the championship

Some uncertainty still but can pretty much guess these NHL outcome:

Matthew's with #69 tonight could finish with 70 +

Panarin has one game remaining if he scores twice he hits 50 goals

Penguins and Red Wings out. Caps still fighting for last spot.

Kucherov will win scoring title. Neither Kucherov or McKinninon had a point in their respective games today. I guess both preparing for playoffs and did not play hard tonight

LA HAWKFAN,
Do you surmise that Clarke will be a black ace for the playoffs rather than playing for their AHL affiliate

Is there room on roster next year - and maybe a debate during the playoffs - for Kaliyev and that highly acclaimed kid A Thomas who has potted a couple goals in his few games played

It looks like that kid Davis is going to be drafted this year. Made an incredible save on BC. Was the most valuable player in the playoffs.

Matt Davis is probably a free agent when he’s finished school, he’s 22 and appears to have never been drafted.

I have lots of good information some which is interesting about the Icehogs players and their season. I stress this because just to give you the flavor of their season and composition of the team….i will describe and talk about players not whom each is a legitimate prospect

I will re-type it on my tablet early morning because I have lately accidentally erased comments near the end 0f commentary on touchy phones - happens on my Apple and Samsung phones. Good game tonight between Icehogs and Milwaukee

These teams dance in three in three days when puck drops in a Sunday matinee 4pm. The very informative Rockford broadcast is worth listening to even if you just catch bits and pieces if you have it playing in the background during your busy day. Steve Martinsen, a tough guy briefly with Edmonton a couple or so decades ago, is great on the color and I don’t think you will complain about the play -by -play.

Ludwinski seemingly fit in fine in his pro debut btw

Icehogs have a lot of character, a lot of toughness throughout line up and some players who have remained with the team having been recalled from ECHL…. Well they are not bad players; they are no slouches having some ability and plenty tough. The best of them is Cates, a good offensive center who often played with Reichel

The AHL is a tough physical league which is what Lardis and Misiak need to compete. I am somewhat dumbfounded hearing how Lardis and Misiak could play in junior again despite these special contracts signed as year end type deals. Hope they are in lineup Sunday

There’s an agreement in place with the NHL and CHL where players in the CHL can only be promoted to pro if it’s directly to the NHL, until the player has completed his last season as a 19 year old. Not sure about Misiak but Lardis definitely cannot play in Rockford, he can however play for the Blackhawks were he to make the team. Misiak not being North American may exempt him from the NHL/CHL agreement?

You not only have prospects making the Hawks, you’ve also determined what line they’ll be on.

They can play in the AHL right now because their CHL season is done, but for next season Misiak is definitely eligible to play in the AHL (he turns 20 before Jan 1st 2025) but Lardis is not eligible to start the year in Rockford. He will need to be CHL or NHL.
