yeah, that's most likely some social media white knight bullpoop lol.
the only thing I find could be a bit sadder or more complicated about the move are cases where employees who have kids also need to relocate or find a completely new job to continue living where they are in Arizona. - Pat1993
those people just need to be patient. i read yesterday that they made sure the name coyotes stays with AZ so they can bring the team back to fail again! |

I was in Ocean City Maryland back in '07 and they called in delmarva. So I have no choice - mr.peanut
they say that there but they also all jack up 1990 jeep cherokees and glue pep boys attachments all over them. |

It's sucks for those people. What could have made it worse was how Merulo was just going to drop the news on the 18th to all his employees.
This guy was having his social media team post committed to the desert videos even though he had an agreement in principle to sell in place - mr.peanut
that owner was incapable of making things work for the organization in Arizona, or at least avoid being a complete embarrassment year after year among teams in the NHL, so I wouldn't expect him to be considerate about everyone directly affected by the move.

I didn’t give condolences to Coyites fans, I wrote this: I think the new team in Utah should be called the Roadrunners because once again, it killed the coyote...#NHL #Coyotes #relocation
Twitter and Threads people love it
According to Friedman, there’s still work to be done but Tuch will sign |

yeah I read about that poop too, it pisses me off considering it's been a failure for so many years while Quebec city already has an arena and would certainly have a passionate fanbase to support an NHL team, even if profits and corporate sponsors might not be enticing enough for greedy rich bastards that want to invest. |

i've resigned myself to the fact that they're never bringing the nords back, but i'm never going to agree with teams in a (frank)ing desert over trying to work it out and put a team back in quebec.

yeah, same here, I don't have any hopes of that ever happening unless Buttman is finally replaced with a new commissioner, then maybe at that point the odds would get slightly better if his successor brings a different perspective. |

I was reading how they're fine with the teams in Canada, but will probably expand to catch up on lost revenue by having less American teams that the other leagues benefit from |

so, by "less 'Murican teams" you mean other expansions in Canada?
even if the market is big enough I wouldn't want a third (frank)ing team in Ontario, screw that.

NHL has 25 us teams, MLB with 29, NBA 29 and the NFL with 32. I think mls has 27 or 57 depending on when they stop expanding. The league sees having less US teams as detrimental to maximizing profits. Especially when they aren't in big cities such as Atlanta, Houston, Indianapolis, either good Ohio city, etc... and now Phoenix |

What I find harder to believe is how the Internet hockey community are given condolences to coyotes fans. And let's be clear, it's a fanbase who could not regularly sell out a 4,600 seat college arena - mr.peanut
If you are a fan of a team, when it leaves, it just (frank)ing plain sucks.
I loved baseball. The '94 strike killed baseball for me, but when the Expos moved years later, I was still kinda pissed and upset.
So for those people who were / are fan, especially those kids that just got into the game, I do feel bad for them.

57 soccer teams? jebus, are they gonna do the same as soccer players do all the time with injuries and fake having teams in the league...?
also, I'm not sure what you mean, if the league "sees having less US teams as detrimental to maximizing profits", wouldn't that mean they'd be looking to expand more in the US?
besides, hockey has always been the less popular market in comparison to other professional sports, and I doubt that changes any time soon.

That's why they may expand to 36 teams.

it's pretty sad indeed for that dozen people who went to see the coyotes play at the arena on a regular basis.
