Out of the teams remaining it was the Caps I wanted the least. That team is physically punishing and if it goes six or seven games, good luck with the health of the team. And Rempe has to dress as well - Greschnergy#4
Idk man, they look sloppy defensively lately and every team is going to play physically first round of the playoffs. I was more scared of Pittsburgh's upside with all their stars and cup winning pedigree. And honestly Detroit and their magic lately and the Kane factor scared me more than the Caps. Saying that, we all know any opponent would have been tough. It's the NHL playoffs |

I would have preferred avoiding Richard Wilson and Charlie Lindgren. Hope Charlie doesn't go psychotic about beating his brother, but the truth is, we could have reasons to not want to play any of those 4 or 5 teams that went down to the wire |

Same but just opposite. As a hockey fan this was an entertaining night |

I think the 3-2-1 point system is a better option but I’d be lying if I said that wasn’t a ton of fun watching these games tonight.
Call me crazy but there’s only 2 guys on the caps that worry me: Oshie and Lindgren. They both play us very well.
I think drawing a team with a -37 goal differential is best case scenario (maybe would’ve slightly preferred flyers but too much needed to go right for that).
Bring on the caps. Rangers in 5 |

Can’t believe the caps let go of Kutz and Mantha. Those guys scare me. Yes Oshie is good against the Rangers but cmon guys if we can’t beat this version of the caps then idk what to say. Washington is the team I wanted. I didn’t want a young & hungry Wings team, a Pitt team that was coming on strong and Syd looks like he still has it much more than ovi plus Karlson, Letang, rust, and some other really good players on that team.
Rangers need to play within their structure and if Lindgren happens to be on his game we can’t deviate from our game and get frustrated.

I agree I think the Rangers are gonna win. I just think that players like Oshie, Wilson,Ovi are out to injure.

Like I said, I think rangers in 5. This caps team is not at the same level as the rangers this year and we should make quick work of them. Just pointing out that Oshie and lindgren play us well and if we’re going to have a game we drop I can see lindgren stealing one or Oshie getting 2 or 3 goals to take a game. Ovi is obviously still a threat and Wilson can run around but for whatever reason they don’t concern me |

He may even need to fight him. Rempe will definitely play too but his shifts won’t be as regular as Cuylles will be. But if Wilson wants to put them on the PK that’ll work to our advantage
This series scares me about 99% less than the devils one last year, we should win this series pretty easily, probably 5 games. But this is the rangers so you never know lol we just have much more top end talent and Shesty can outplay Lindgren you’d hope.
Caps D corp looks to be banged up, not sure the availability of Jensen and or Sandin. Mcilrath of all people is in their lineup |

I may regret saying this but I can’t remember a series I’ve felt more confident going into. I don’t think Wilson will be up to his antics because they actually need him to produce. In past years they’ve had backstrom and kuzy along with ovi so Wilson could run around a little more. This caps team is paper thin and I just don’t see Wilson being up to his usual stuff |

I agree with the matchup, feels like the best case scenario as far as being scared goes lol pens definitely scared me and Wings have talent which would’ve been tough at times to watch. The key is getting through this series in 6 or less. Going 7 games will make it feel like a daunting task next series. Conserving as much energy and health as possible. They need a killer instinct, which killed those Hank era teams. They never ever made it easier on themselves |
