9-1-1 in their last 11. Plus 10 goal differential. Bring on the canes. - streaks
Not the matchup I was hoping for. Hopefully they can stay out of the box.... |

I hear ya but it’s what they got. Maybe this will be the year they figure them out. |

Wow watching the game on tape. How in the hell is Malkins goal not a kicking motion?
They should just let kicking be allowed because the league just looks stupid with these calls. |

Yep. I don’t think any of us were hoping for the canes. We don’t match up well to them and to me they are just a blah, bland, kind of team anyway. With that said this is all gravy as far as I’m concerned.
Hopefully our special teams do a sudden turn around and we can finally beat this team. |

Yeah, either allow kicking or just disallow any goal off of the skate. Anything in between and you're asking for controversial judgement calls in situations far bigger than a goal in a meaningless game 82. I think I've said before, the NHL rulebook is needlessly full of subjective stuff like that when there are less controversial, objective alternatives. |

Believe this started in Tampa. Carolina started doing it then a couple other teams. Kind of dumb. |

If I recall, Tampa only allowed TBL jerseys in one particular section...no other jersey's were allowed. I could be wrong on that one. But outright blocking other teams' fans from buying tickets is absurd and pathetic |

I believe it was outside jerseys only allowed in one area which then turned into exactly what the preds are doing. Carolina did it also. |

What’s the reasoning? What a weird rule to implement. For ex. Suppose you’ve been a pred fan since inception, but moved? |

Tampa, then the Panthers, Caps, Preds, then Canes... the (frank)ing Yankees have been doing it for years, but nobody really noticed.
It's surprisingly common as it turns out. |

Doesn’t make it any less stupid. I almost give the Yankees a pass bcs I’m sure they did it to keep Red Sox fans out who are a bunch of violent, belligerent, morons. Even more so then yankee fans. |

It's because a lot of season ticket holders were getting upset that the buildings were being flooded by fans from larger markets.
This also combats bots/scalpers a bit, since there are a lot fewer of them with Nashville addresses than there are with, say New York or LA cards. |

Oh I get it. I'm not defending it. Games are more fun when there's a good mix of home and away fans.

When I read like half of that initially, my first thought was "just get a VPN to get around the geofencing" but then I saw that they go by credit card billing address so that nixes that |

Meanwhile, once upon a time the Isles posted a message on the scoreboard welcoming Quebec fans who invaded the Coliseum to try and get the team to move to their city
I hope the Isles never do anything like this...seems like too much coddling. Maybe I'm just more numb to the problem as an Isles fan: Even at the best of times we'll have a divided building whenever the Rangers or Devils are around. And man, in the really lean years, which went on for far too long, it seemed like most games were away games. |

If I recall, that group traveled around a lot of arenas and was pretty fun and respectful. They were just trying to get some visibility to the fact that Quebec wanted their team back. |

Happy Gilmore is a replacement level skater, no way he's getting 3rd line minutes
edit: I didn't even catch Jimmy Two Times
