They have a defenseman who is decent in getting the puck to the net. Zamula but they refused to play him on the PP. I'm not saying he is a PP QB of the future but he was the best the Flyers currently have. - MJL
Refused? He was out there a lot on the 2nd unit second half of they year. It was mainly him no? He’s no answer back there. |

He's a very talented player. Some are PP distributors and playmakers and some are PP scorers. If the Flyers get some good coaching and PP distributors, they can have a decent PP. Konecny can be a PP producer but I just hope it's not with the Flyers. - MJL
I meant on the PP. Coaching I agree is the biggest issue but TK is frustrating to watch on the PP, questionable decision making |

It seems Rocky has no clue on how to use his personnel to their strengths, if they even have any.
Like maybe trying Foerster and Tippett on the half wall to take advantage of their shots using one timers. And COACH THEM to use it and not hesitate. Use Frost as the primary feeder of those one timers, not as a net front guy looking for rebounds that never come. Have TK as a rover in and out of the bumper and below the goal line.
I can't count how many times these guys catch passes and hesitate allowing the PK to get in the right position.
There is no movement. No dynamics. No chaos created. It's all get it to the point and try to get a shot through. Terrible terrible set up.

funny you mention this, something I was thinking on, they don't seem to move the puck quick enough and have a rotation that opens up lanes. I think they need to have 2 puck handlers close to each other, like a Frost and a brink. I do think Drysdale, as he gets more reps, will help in that regards. |

And apparently Rizzo didn't have an issue signing his ELC after the Flyers season is over. Rizzo seems fine with competing for a job in camp next year. - jd250
Rizzo is not a comporable prospect to CG. CG is a projected top line power forward.while Rizzo is a borderline NHL prospect. Rizzo is just glad to get a contract and was not promised a contract before the end of the season like CG was. |

Down the stretch. He was the answer this season. York does not make plays on the PP. Zamula does. |

Jack Adams award winning stuff from torts right here - corduroy
Need to clarify which Jack Adams award you're referring to. The real one that Tortorella won last year and is a favorite again this year. Or the fake one that Jim Montgomery won last year. |

I believe that if Gauthier had signed an ELC with the Flyers and went to this most recent camp, he would have made the Flyers out of camp. Not sure he would have stayed with the Flyers, that of course would have depended if he played a style that Torts approved, but I think there would have been a good chance he did stay with the team. - jd250
Considering how well he played at the worlds….yes he would have made it….BUT he wanted to be signed at the end of last year to burn year one in the 22-23 season. The Flyers have said they offered him a contract after the worlds last year….by then I guess the damage was done. |

Keep and eye on the Coyotes. The move to SLC might make them players in the trade game.
I would figure they would want t make a splash and pickup a few more veteran star players.
Any chance they could go after TK? Not as their main move, but a nice side move?
They are loaded with talent...Cooley...and picks....could be a great trade partner. |

package TK and Laughton. only about 8 million total cap hit. How could a team pass up that package....... |

That's how I see it. I read somewhere that Fletcher had possibly made draft day promises to burn the year off, and then Briere wouldn't do it. The damage done..deceit, lies, and no trust with the organization. |

Completely agree. Anyone who doesn't think this was a misstep on the Flyers part is kidding themselves. He proved he was NHL ready by his showing in the world championships a month later. - TobyFlenderson
So they did not want to "guarantee" him a spot, really. Was there any doubt he would have not made the team on his own merit? Either it shows you how delusional the management of this team really is or they did not want to take minutes away from the protected vet-trans. Neither one is a good look... |

How about their 2nd this year and their unprotected first next year for TK and laughton contingent on TK resigning. If he doesn’t its a protected 1st |
