The Leafs are a good regular season team but that D (and goaltending) will never get them anywhere in the playoffs.

Ever since I can remember, they always liked their "big names" in Toronto ... the fans (and media) get wet with the "stars". They spend half the budget on 4 players (all forwards) but then they have nothing left for the defense.

They never had a clue on how to build a complete team over there ... 1967 ...

bah, they don't necessarily have a horrible team this year, even for the playoffs, it's probably the most depth they've had in a while.

the problem seems to be mostly between the ears, collectively they need to conquer their Bawston "boogeyman"...

yeah, I think they simply don't know what to do, or how to do it. how you must suffer to win, how you must sacrifice your body for the team, how to play defense and shut it down to keep a lead...
but also true that they're not built for the playoffs. never were. all that money on 4 forwards who all play the same game, no goalie... and a #1 dman who is not a stud defensively, and not goo enough to run the PP! wtf does he do exactly? lol
