Many on this site criticized the lack of a rebuild. Some of us, like myself, started off that way and then like the lemmings that Flyers fans are, again like myself, we bought in to the excitement of a playoff push, forgetting the long-term goal of being a future legitimate contender. To those of you who stayed the course, you were right.

Once again, like so many times before, the Flyers are a bubble team with a 12th overall pick and only one projected star in the pipeline. They have too many bloated contracts that are best utilized by NOT buying them out or giving up assets to get rid of.

I have faith that GMDB is smart and capable, but I have little faith he will be bold enough to do what is needed to be done. With that, once again (4th year in a row) I prepare to watch teams compete who built through the draft (Vegas excluded obviously). However, like it or not, Vegas is bold and will stop at nothing to win a Cup and be a contender. See Eichel, Petro, Stone, etc

Flyers are neither bold like Begas or patient like the other contenders.

I would trade rosters with all those teams. Trade their 50 players under contract for the flyers all day.

That’s what a rebuild is/means. Probably lost a year of the rebuild by the way things went this year. A Celebrini or one of these top players this year would be more likely to fuel the long term plan than the guy they’ll get at 12.

And isn’t this boredom, yet again watching the playoffs knowing that the Flyers even as currently constructed are years away from being as good as the contenders? What difference did this make this year? A few more wins and some exciting times but anyone who’s being honest know that Flyers could not beat NYR, Florida, Boston, TB, Toronto, Carolina in a 7 game series. Disappointment should be high right now. The Flyers are neither in it, nor are gonna get any of the top high end prospects. It’s just reality. I don’t like this reality. Love the MM pick last year but let’s be honest… Bedard would’ve been better.

So exactly why are you here? I mean, if they make you this miserable why do you enjoy coming here ever day and whining to the heavens? Just go root for another team. I'm sure those teams need all the support that they can get. Again, the one team just moved out of a 5,000 seat arena and Buffalo plays to an empty building every night in a hockey crazed market. You can say the same about Ottawa. Buffalo has missed the playoffs 13 straight seasons...they'd love to have you as a fan!

I would take Buffalo's roster over the Flyers for sure. Not really sure about the other two cause I simply don't know that much about their rosters.
