Yes, as long as I think it helps my Team. And I know you don't like that trade and poll you put up. But the player coming back in that trade would help are Team. - Buff36
It is too much, and I think it's a lateral move at best.
Faceoffs aren't enough of an upgrade for me with knowing Danault's production would drop in a reduced minutes 3rd line role.
If you told me the 1st was in the 2025 draft, maybe. |

Totally understand, I just don't think his production would drop with the players he could play with. Faceoffs might not matter to much, but as many as the Sabres lose, they are constantly chasing the puck so it matters for them. And he actually might be someone who could help Cozens or Kulich maybe take a step forward as a C. I don't see why the Sabres need to do it this Year, but I could understand why. |

I think it solves a multitude of issues
-Get's out of the bad years of Skinner
- Get's the team a much needed 2-way center who can actually score some
- Gives them more flexibility
- Takes the awkwardness out of finding a spot for Skinner in the lineup going forward

Him and Girgs are now the OG goofy goobers, can Adams emotionally handle moving on from one let alone both this season?

Did you just compare the best hockey player finishing his career to a meh, 2nd/3rd liner with very limited upside and a douchy approach to playing hockey? |

Alex Tuch
Rasmus Dahlin
Actually if Adams fills his roster out correctly and brings in some good Tough Gritty players that compliment what we have, I could see a few turning it up. Think this team is dying for a few players that can add certain elements that would make a bunch of these players play more un pu$$ified and become a more complete team. |

I guess I should have clarified more, what is excelling to you?
Is there a ppg player on the team? Do you think Tuch/Dahlin are that?
IMO, a group of men begging for other men to come and support them is a massive red flag. That is on top of that same group begging for a coach to hold them accountable since they didn't do it themselves.
The 97% losing rate this group has whenever there is a chance to gain momentum, in regular season alone is damning.
So here we are, heading into year 5 of Adams rebuild, all the team needs is:
- A head coach to hold the team accountable - due to lack of leadership (even though every player that leaves immediately improves in this department)
- A power play coach to teach the skilled guys how to use their skill to score....
- A few depth players that will stick up for the skill on the roster, they also have to teach the skilled players how to play with grit
- A team identity that isn't associated with being young
- Consistent play from the forwards, defense and goaltending, ideally at the same time
- A plan for the 4 1st round picks that are skill heavy stuck in the AHL who are not better than the current players on a bottom 10 NHL roster....
- A team captain, that is not just the highest skilled player on the team but an actual leader.
All this needs to be accomplished by training camp, from a GM who acknowledged there was a problem day 1 of training camp and waited until post game 82 to do anything about it. |

Lot of young players taught bad things here, don't think having players come in a hopefully Teach them the right way shouldn't be seen as begging. Who knows what we have on this Team, a lot of bad moves from top to bottom. Getting the right coach and players could make this group explode or the players will prove we just Suck. |

IMO, this past season has proven that there absolutely is more than just skill required to be a good team. There is an impact of leadership (good or bad) and, over time, a culture (good or bad) develops. Those who discount it are mad, mad I tell ya. |

At the great risk of having the audacity to only respond to part of your post: This is a crucial point, and needs to be one of their primary concerns. |

Just curious if this 97% thing is factual or not? It sure feels that way. Crazy this team wasn't that bad from a Win/loss standpoint but was never a threat to make playoffs. Mind boggling.

I don't know, I just looked at the game results, 20 times this season alone, the team lost after a win. Sprinkle some 2 and even fewer 3 game win/loss streaks in there and that's this team.
