Good to hear.
Did they even interview anyone else for HC? Maybe a slight delay to see what happened with Sullivan? - Lunaion
Will ask Stripes the above 👍
He's the one with the intel.
I thought I had heard they did interview Berube, and liked him. |

Feel better about Lindy's guys than however we ended up with the previous group....and extended them when they were clearly lacking. - Lunaion
I will feel better once I see Lindy’s assistants.
I just think it’s a missed opportunity.
Coach Lindy will keep the players accountable.
President Lindy would have kept the organization accountable.
Oh well, just win and all will be good |

The biggest positive of hiring Lindy Ruff is I think he probably cares more about the Buffalo Sabres being a successful organization than either Terry or Adams do

As coach he’ll have more of an impact on the product on the ice.
He can get the organization on the right path. What happens in a couple years, cross that bridge when you get there.
Most coaches have a shelf life of a couple seasons regardless |

“These were the Sabres lines for Game 2 against Philly in 06:
Dumont - Hecht - Briere
Grier - Drury - Roy
Kotalik - Connolly - Afinogenov
Vanek - Gaustad - Pominville”
Even more reason to believe that if Kulich, Rosen and Savoie are ready to make an impact.
We have a coach that’s willing to use them |

James Patrick was on Ruff’s staffs in Buffalo and Dallas. He also coached Krebs. Savoie, Benson in Winnipeg.
Jay McKee could be an interesting option.
Chris Taylor former Amerks coach and was with Lindy in New Jersey. Could be an option depending on what direction the Devils go in |

They don't even try to hide who really runs the team. Just listen to the way adams babbled on about talking to pegula in his presser last week
Ruff is qualified for the job though so I think this is ok. He is far and away better than granato. Adams needs to fill this roster out properly for him and make an impact move to make real noise next year
Ffs prove you aren't incapable even if Terry is calling the shots |

Needs to get it done this summer there are no excuses left for him |

Drop the player you are most excited to see under Lindy and the one you are scared of could get a Holtz/Meier outcome
Excited: Cozens/Benson
Worried: JJ/Quinn
Is just (frank)ed: Skinner
Is living his childhood dream: Tuch

Okay fine you win. Let’s go back to Ralph Kruger or Granato and get more toughness |

Holtz dug his own grave with his play. Meier got the minutes and improved as the season went on.
Lindy didn’t hesitate to use Mercer, Hughes, or Nemec.
If you can play, he is going to use you 🤷🏻♂️ |

Yup. I read a bunch of articles on why they fired Lindy.
Positive: developed young players
Negatives: had no goaltending and injuries

On paper Adams moves for Erik Johnson and okpsos made sense.
Lesson learned: old veteran players that bring leadership are a big no no and a bad idea |

Which is what killed him last time he was here. Also we had no centers or real captains. |

It was more than that ….
Roy wasn’t a 1C
Vanek got lazy
Correct about not having centers
Miller got Luciced
The core was flawed |

The (frank) they did.
Erik Johnson was one of the worst defenseman in hockey in the ice prior to signing his contract here. |
