Growing up, other than country music 8-track tapes. (yes!), the Beach Boys were one of the few other types of music we had.

When you live in the middle of bumble(frank)nowhere, did not have your own radio, you take what you can get.

So all their songs are ingrained in my brain, which made that probably more catchy than it should have been.

We drove down to the US a bunch when I was younger, florida and myrtle beach. My dad had the beach boys on repeat and we could'nt touch the radio so it's engraved in my head as well.
