I get annoyed at Emile’s legacy

While he was coaching the team to great things in the early 70s, at same time he was wearing the GM hat, he really made a lot of (frank)ed up decisions, trades draft picks etc, that screwed this franchise for years after he was gone.

Giacomin is my all time favorite Ranger. Especially the no mask days. When the were on WWOR channel 9, Secaucus NJ. No cable back then my dad had to tune the roof antenna to watch Rangers and Mets on Ch. 9

I dont recall an actual hit on Panarin, but Oshie did choke hold him during a scrum and the high stick that wasnt called. Im sure theres more stuff we didnt see. Any time they were on the ice together Oshie was trying to do something.

Yeah about 20 road games per year were on Channel 9. Many of them on tape delay.

Channel 9 used to be the road game home of all the local teams (Knicks, nets, isles, roller derby, bowling for dollars) when they weren’t showing a Million Dollar Movie/King Kong

Panarin's response (the butt hit) was what any reasonable person would have done in the same situation. As viewers, we had had enough. It had to be done and it was poetic that he took care of business himself. Exposed that pest.
