I'd rather have Hartman, Bennett or Carrier than Reeves.
Give me guys with flexibility to move up the lineup if need be.
Problem with Reeves is he's 4th line 8 minutes or scratched - sbroads24
Yes please. Finally someone speaking my language |

“NFL Draft story that shaped up the NFL today:
- The #Chiefs were picking at No. 28 in 2016 and had interest in Memphis QB Paxton Lynch; however, the #Broncos traded up to 26 and got him.
- Denver gave up picks 31 and 94 to do the trade.
- The #Chiefs would've had an extra 3rd-round pick (No. 91) to offer in a trade-up for Lynch, but the NFL took it away for tampering in free agency with Jeremy Maclin.
- Lynch’s agent confirmed the next day that the Chiefs and Cowboys were the other two teams trying to move up.
- As a result, KC then traded out of No. 28 and down to No. 37. With that pick, the #Chiefs selected DT Chris Jones.
- The next year, still looking for a QB, the #Chiefs traded up from No. 27 to No. 10.
- With that pick, they selected Patrick Mahomes.
Kansas City went from having interest in Paxton Lynch to ending up with Chris Jones – and a year later Patrick Mahomes.
And the rest has been history ever since.”
Imagine going from Paxton Lynch to Pat Mahomes and Chris Jones.

I hope not, it makes the sport unique and everyone stops to watch a hockey fight. - washedup20
Agreed there, I don't think fighting can every leave the sport. If the only recourse guys have after a dirty hit is to hit each other again, you're going to see a lot more dirty hits IMO, tit for tat.
Fighting, to me, actually lessens the amount of violence in the game. I just think the guys who are doing it will be better at the sport itself, less "goons" and more "tough players". Fair? |

Rat, what's happening down there:
Per Paul Maurice, Ryan Lomberg (illness) made the trip to Tampa but won’t play tonight.
They need another day of him feeling good before he’s allowed around the team.
Kyle Okposo will draw into his first playoff game since 2016.

Which is what 99% of us are saying.
Nobody here has said we want goons who can’t play hockey.
But you have a few village idiots who can’t figure that out. |

NFL is particularly luck with all the measurements and college football tape. College level football it’s easier to judge players based on their play and the high level of competition.
Example: Josh Allen is a statistical / analytical anomaly based on his college tape and stats.
NHL is extremely random and luck based. The kids are 18 years old based on much smaller sample size on tape, lower level of competition, and games played.
That’s why the world juniors is a big big big tournament for draft eligible players. That is the highest of the high competition.
They are also being looked at 15, 16, and 17 years old. |

Clearly we don’t know what we are talking about.
Reeves. Rempe are clearly why those teams scored so much and won all those games.
(Sarcasm).

Rempe and reaves are hidden X factors
5 minutes of ice team and 0 points contributes a lot to the wins. |

I hear ya, was more responding to Reaves stuff, he seems like he'd qualify as a goon. I probably am just missing the obvious and resorting to my usual inane babble. Please disregard if so. |
