I was listening to the last 5 mins in the car last night. The leafs announcer Joe something or other, was really going off on how most of the fans were sitting in their seats and not making any noise the last 3 or 4 mins.
That's where all the posters blaming the fans came from - vabeachbear
Joe Bowen, I know Rick kinda likes him, I think he’s a (frank)ing knob. His Colour man, Jim Ralph was a Blackhawk draftee in 1980, two of the biggest homers this side of Jack Edwards.

Wiz has moved Eiserman back to the Blackhawks at #2
Still haven't found anything on the draft lottery date. I figured they'd set a date by now |

May 6th or 7th. Not sure why they can't pick one, but that's all that's been announced thus far. |

We’ve run through the possibilities with the Bears and the Blackhawks draft picks and how ironic both have two first round selections
Today after countless mock drafts I remain in favor of controlling who we take as much as possi. I would prefer the best or second best rated OL or edge rusher with the 9th pick I go with the OL even should Alt be gone. Now if we move down to 14th and pick up and extra middle round pick, I grumble but that is probably a win win move. I hope Poles gets the best edge rusher, the one he wants most. There is a glut of OL projected to go in round one; however, if it is the 3rd or fourth OL and the 3nd edge rusher at say 14th, probably have to go with whomever had the highest upside. Which might be difficult to say with absolute certainty exactly what player this would be
Just reiterate that I prefer no trading down because I will live with fewer choices and take the premiere talent especially since it is the OL and DL who are vital or have such a large impact impact how well the QB can perform or the lineman makes the entire defense better/more capable
As for the Blackhawks, go with the scorer Eiserman then the dman KD would treasure more than the other rearguards. A first pair projected dman in Bullium or Richardinson vs Paredkt - I honestly don’t know which dman to take BUT it comes down to whether Eiserman is on the board when we select. As much as I would love Lindstrom, I think take the dman first and that assumes Eiserman was gobbled up already
Tough choices…..,,now that is an understatement.

It's interesting the odds shifted recently in Vegas, the odds on favorite to be drafted 5th is JC Latham, which tells me the Chargers are not trading their pick and info has been leaked.
The Bears have said they believe when they draft 9th there will be a blue player available. They will take the blue player available, to them that means premier talent in their words. If there's more than one available then it becomes interesting.
Added As far as the Blackhawks, i think KD trades up with the Lightning pick and then some. |

Great comments at the end of the Sportsnet Leaf article.

Watching a lot of playoff hockey, i can't believe how many teams don't support their goalie defensively. Vegas like last year is one of the best at having skaters between the goalie and the opposing forwards. Boston is good at it to.
Doughty scored last night because the Oil fell asleep. I don't get it.

Wow I hope we are able to trade up (Blackhawks) and I would guess Lindstrom might whet KD appetite. But if we wind up drafting a dman say with the 3 or 4 pick, does KD hope for Caton or Lindstrom to fall. Always there is at least one pick that was not expected. No one has a crystal

Blackhawks prospect Roman Kantserov and Metallurg won the KHL's Gagarin Cup today.
Kantserov finished 7th in playoff scoring with 13 points (4G, 9A). Seven assists were primary. He scored 3 game-winning goals. He averaged 14:56 ice time compared to 12:00 in the regular season.

A lot of the playoff teams are pretenders, not contenders. Islanders, Capitals, Oilers, Leafs to name some.

Apparently, rookies on KHL teams rarely get much playing time, so the fact he got more in the playoffs is impressive. Great to see from a Russo-smurf. |

When the Bobby Hull Blackhawks won a Cup in 1962, they would have been considered a pretender.in a 6 team league. |

Only 2 games away now from opening another expensive bottle of Cab to celebrate the annual early Maple Leaf playoff elimination.
Coach Keefe probably wants their heart transplants re-scheduled for tomorrow instead of post season. But they will quickly fire him instead so they don't have to blame it on their gutless Top 5 who make all the money. - RickJ
Eh, it's really not their top 5 though. It's a poorly constructed team with a very bad blue line and mediocre goaltending that are going to have issues to outscore their way out of it when playing a team of comparable talent but a more balanced overall roster.

Yup. Hawks traded Forsling and Anton Forsberg to the Canes for DeHaan and somebody.
Forsling couldn't make the Canes NHL squad and was waived by the Canes the following year. Florida claimed him and the coach at that time, Joel Quenneville, played him. - Rota's Rooter
I think thats kind of the Brian Rafalski scenario and an outlier more so than the norm.
Awesome that he figured out and turned into a really good player but I also wouldn't fault an org from passing at his age and progression based on how most players turnout. |

6X $4.6M
No NMC/NTC or Bonus clauses according to CapFriendly, but it's still unconfirmed waiting on details.
Two years longer than I prefer, but considering the number, I'm not upset about it. |
