it's weird. wayyy back in the beginning, i was worrying about this exact thing (my temporary housing coverage running out) someone told me to go to the Department of Insurance.

i contacted state farm when my coverage ran out and i mentioned the dept of insurance thing. they responded that they apologized but that part of my coverage had run out. i wrote back "i guess i'll try the department of insurance thing". and 2 weeks later they sent me this $1730 with no explanation other than "additional living expense".

it's going to the rent that i shouldn't have to be paying.
