goon it up tomorrow from puck drop on. pester the wieners from the word go, get under their skin and make them angry enough to toboggan all over the ice like penguins at the south pole while the fans laugh and call them pussies.

Islanders have no answers against the Canes and have no idea how to play them. This year's Canes and past teams. It's like the Canes are a goon team and the Islanders are scared of them. They are just a bad roster fit against this team like they were against Tampa.

I don’t think they need to “goon” it up. But, I def saw a few times guys on the isles had the option of crushing someone with an open ice hit and passed up on it. Heck, Panarin did it last night to Oshie. The isles are missing that toughness which is weird to say. When you have a guy running around like a wrecking ball (ala Steve Webb) it takes guys off their game. I’d like to see more physicality in game 3.

every team should have one loose cannon psycho who legitimately scares the (frank) out of people. billy tibbetts, chris simon, dare i say it, matt cooke. the dystopian present is soft.

Islanders are overall a soft team. It’s not even about fighting. They do not crash the net and go to the dirty areas for rebounds and deflections.

I think Lee is having a great post season with regard to net presence. I just wanna see more open ice hits, more guys getting lined up. The canes had too much energy in last games 2nd and 3rd periods. Getting hit hard affects your stamina and ability to get going. The isles need to start smashing guys

Lee has looked good but overall, there is no team consistency in terms of playing tough. Like you mentioned, you have Rangers skilled players playing tough playoff hockey.

The Canes only have 5 good defensemen now.

Just wait until Scott Morrow scores his first NHL goal on us

Rosner-- Don't see Martin out there.
Iskhakov skating on the fourth line.

I was hoping they would consider this. Hard to say if it's an indicator that he will in fact start, but his speed, skill and offensive aggression would be a nice add

I would even play Salo over Bortuzzo at this point. Nothing has worked against this team for years anyway.

I have zero problem with Bortuzzo's game. I think he was better than Dobson and Pelech, frankly

There are more than a couple of players that can sit. Doubtful it will be Dobson or Pelech. I’m not sure if Birtuzzo and his lack of speed is good against the Canes.

His toughness and size is useful. He was damn good in game ine. It's exciting to see a skilled guy like Ishakov possibly get a chance but the playoffs shouldn't be proving grounds for a bunch of AHL kids.

It’s not about proving grounds it’s desperation. You try anything against a team you cannot beat. I also doubt you will see 4 or 5 AHL players in the lineup. I'm tired of losing to the Canes and I'm willing to see some new faces in the lineup.

I don't think the group that called up are going to improve your chances. Desperation in these cases needs to be calculated, otherwise it just looks like frantic stupidity.
