I don't think the group that called up are going to improve your chances. Desperation in these cases needs to be calculated, otherwise it just looks like frantic stupidity.

MacLean has helped maybe someone like Ruslan can help as well. The defense has real problems so maybe try someone for the defense as well. I'd rather go down swinging by trying something instead of using the same lineup. We have to get out of this mindset that Bridge has nobody that can help at all, so we are not even going to try. This leads to locking up bottom pair players to long term deals.

Sorry but that's something you do during the regular season. Adding Ishakov on his own is fine, but there is no way I want to throw multiple minor leaguers in game three of the playoffs against a Stanley Cup favorite.
I sure as he'll dont think throwing Salo is going to provide a good result

Sorokin in for game 3 ane ishkarov was out with the 4th line and came off with the regulars. Dont see him playing in the playoffs with 1 game under his belt though

I'm not sure he would be a fit on the 4th line anyway. We are stuck with this roster.

4th line would be a waste for him. If they're going to play him they need to give him an opportunity to generate some offense, because he probably doesn't bring much else.

I agree. Do you think the Islanders should play Ruslan or anyone else for game 3 or it's a bad idea?

I mean it can't possibly get any worse than game two. They managed 12 shots over an entire game and only 1 in the third period. Let the Isk-dog eat.

I'd give him a shift or two with Barzal and Horvat and see how that goes.

I'm not saying he should play there it's just where he was at the skate. He should be on the top line or 2nd but in the playoffs with the speed and physicality it would be overwhelming I think

No I know, just throwing that opinion out there. I get why they're putting him on the fourth line but I think the time for playing it safe is probably over. A loss tomorrow and they're toast. They're likely already (frank)ed, but a loss tomorrow all but guarantees that.

This is the thing. Why are we worried about looking worse than what we already do? Would you do anything with the defense? It's alarming how Pelech and Pulock have regressed.

I think Lee is having a great post season with regard to net presence. I just wanna see more open ice hits, more guys getting lined up. The canes had too much energy in last games 2nd and 3rd periods. Getting hit hard affects your stamina and ability to get going. The isles need to start smashing guys

Game 1 was winnable and game 2 they all but surrendered and still were sorta in it. They can win a few but 4 out of 5 eh no

When this all said and done. I think the isles should make a strong play for Trevor Zegras.

Zegras Hovart Barzal. Speed Skill creativity.

They had their shot to catch Carolina sleeping in game 1 but they just couldn't close on a few really good chances. They managed to capitalize on those chances in game 2 but they just got overpowered by a better team.

Some joy tonight seeing the leafs losing.

I’m most likely in the minority but will root for the rags against the canes and mapleloafs.

hate to say it but agreed. the hurricanes and tampa foiled my dad's last chance to see a fifth cup while he was battling cancer, so that poop is personal. his last night on earth was when tkachuk beat them with 10 seconds left or whatever and that made him happy

The funniest part was seeing Tavares take an unnecessary offensive zone penalty with his goalie pulled and less than 2 minutes remaining.

I’m sorry to hear that about your dad.

My dad was a huge rags fan but didn’t hate the islanders. Rooted like hell for them when the rags were knocked out. So I really don’t have hate for them.

Putting Sorokin in is really the only major move that can change things up. There is really no one else in reserve. However, I do not have an issue with playing Rusty on the fourth line and bringing some speed and skill to the lineup. This series has not been that physical and it has been more about speed/ skill.

that's very atypical but there hasn't been a lot of longterm bad blood between the two teams in a while. toronto is by far the most annoying team/fanbase/fake news origin point in all of the hockey world and canada. def my least favorite team, along with these 'bunch of jerks' lol
