Well I've seen plenty of Habs morning skate because they train at the same place my son's team practice on the weekend.

It's really a "stretch out your legs" kind of thing. You don't see anyone going "all in" like a regular practice.

I could see some guys skipping it. Hell sometimes the head coach isn't even on the ice.

But it does have an interesting little aside - it suggests the morning skate may have been invented by Leafs players, who wanted to test their newly-sharpened skates, after the ones for the night before were poop.

Absolutely nobody will be crying over Nylander playing over Robertson.

yup - and we're told that it impacts the selection of officials. The NHL may be the most protectionist group left in major sports.

An aside ...maybe it's time for the NFL to stop using 65-75 yr old white men to officiate a fast paced violent sport? I'm just waiting for some old guy to get killed out there.

William Nylander is sticking around for extra work with projected scratch Noah Gregor at the end of the Leafs morning skate.

Status for Game 3 still uncertain.

Absolutely nobody will be crying over Nylander playing over Robertson.

Not on this site thankfully… but some of the comments where I’m stuck streaming the games via FB while being stuck here at the hospital would blow you away… primarily how Jarnkrok should be tossed out first (also dumb) but there is a group that thinks Nylander isn’t worth it and Robertson should stay…. I think it’s a group AA started up lol

lol like I said I’ve mostly seen the drop Jarnkrok not Robertson group but there’s a few who think Nylander should just keep sitting.

Oh yeah… I’ve noticed on the FB group I can stream the leaf games on there’s a few who just don’t grasp the importance of defensive talent… the number of anti Dewar folk just makes me shake my head for example

I see that some Vancouver fans want to fire Mikheyev into the sun. I guess that signing might not be as good as first thought.
