I will give you the "he didnt leave his feet" but the "didnt go for the head" he might not have been aiming for the head, but there was head contact.

You're right that it is not a reverse hit. I call it a "Kronwall." He did WAY more damage to people than this without getting suspended, even in the regular season. Contact was simultaneous from navel to chin. Legal hit.

Kadri got 8 games in '21 for a hit that probably would have got anyone else 2 precisely because he was a repeat offender.

I hate the Rangers as much as any other rational person, but no way should that be a suspension.

Edit: I hate the "repeat offender" issue. You can toe the line between suspension or not 20 times in a row without getting a suspension and that doesn't make you a "repeat offender." But you do two suspension-worthy things and you are.
