One of the more frustrating things that I watched was when they were on a 4v3 powerplay and Matthews was lined up near the middle of the ice and no one was on the near board. Jt wins the draw and shovels it back to the open spot where no one is and puck leaves the zone.

That’s just how bad this pp is and the coaching for having them lined up like that. Just basic poop they can’t even do

The playoff format needs to change. The Leafs got 102 points and their reward is Boston who got 109! This isn't fair!

Oh wait, if we just did 1 vs 8, 2 vs 7, 3 vs 6, then the 4 vs 5 matchup would be...Boston versus Toronto. So that excuse doesn't work this year. I guess injuries then.

The game on Saturday reminded me of game 7 vs Montreal a couple of years ago. No push, no urgency, outhustled, outmuscled, no structure, men vs. boys.

I have seen little improvement since that series. Last year's win vs the Lightning was the result of some lucky/fluky bounces in a couple of overtime periods - I believe they were actually outplayed by Tampa. The series vs the Panthers exposed this team as exactly what they are - still incapable of winning when it counts.

I'd love to see things turn around, but we all know how this is going to play out. They'll fade away without so much as a whimper.

Who is citing excuses here? Other than what Mike has mentioned in his blog I have not seen one poster make any excuses. Stop trying to troll.

I’ve been saying this for years and so have many others! But nothing changes. More contracts, more money and extensions and run it back next year. Keefe gets an extension last fall…..makes absolutely NO sense! Don’t give me that lame duck crap, he shouldn’t have been extended until the years results were in. For me it starts at the top, Shanahan has headed this up, for 10 years, he doesn’t have the backbone to do what has to be done. Lots of teams change on the fly. It’s painfully clear, these guys didn’t even show up for game 4. Typical Leafs, they’ll just fire Keefe, at best, and he will make his way down the road with a pocket full of cash for the next two years from his extension. Pathetic organization! I can’t wear my Leaf’s jersey in western Canada because people laugh at it, at the team, and the history. Get your Franking Crap together MLSE.
