100%! - add in the absolute crap storm of stupidity that will surround him all summer there is no way he doesn’t at least submit a list to Tre. A first round exit will be insanely loud in Toronto. You can say players don’t care and to a point they don’t but they are human you know.
…would be hilarious though. Put him down lineup playing half minutes (vs usual) and no PP time. He will want out to pad stats quick with free agency coming at him at seasons end. - Big23Questions
He didn’t care much last time he negotiated a deal here |

Were you saying we should keep Freddie? Looks good so far this year, - jribout
Leafs gave up on him too quick for lesser replacements.
Ullmark? You were ready to trade Marner plus for him.
Yep a great playoff goalie would be great. Not easy to find.
Never happened. |

If cooper gets fired, the leafs should scoop him up immediately.
Even if they are still in the playoffs |

Fire Keefe, hire Cooper, come back on the Bruins, win the Cup. Parade on the moon. |

... Bloatsie,
The Leafs play tomorrow night. You don't have to get here the night before to troll.
(PS. How you been bud?) - Aetherial
I am well but I think these playoffs are going to kill me. Too old for this poop. How have you been?
Not trolling at all. Miss 23 just dropped a turd in our thread so I wanted to make sure it was returned.

The tantrum he threw the other night suggests he will do the same in his negotiations and if he does not get his way will refuse to be traded just to stick it to them |

The golf courses in Florida are up, running and ready to go.
Nylander has his nose candy connections in Miami on speed dial. |

$11m in free cap space when he walks away is also a reward if he's not worth it.
I'm not happy with how he's playing right now, but I do believe with the right insulation he could be a key part of the future - especially with Tavares' cap money to build around when JT is up a year from now. I'd like to keep Marner, but basically not for any more than Nylander is currently making. They can both be overpaid together. If he wants more than Nylander they may have to walk away.

Or trade him and get the maximum value for him in a trade you ever will and let the new team have him signed to a pre-negotiated contract. - Rare_Jewel
Max for a pending UFA? What would that be?
And the Leafs would be waiving the white flag just before the playoffs start when AM is having a career year.
Fans would just love that...

At this point I’d have to say Eichel is a better playoff / money player than either McJesus or AM34 … never thought I’d type that.
That’s gonna haunt Buffalo for some time. |

11.5 x 8 = 92$ milly
..if a team wanted to match the Leafs and could only offer 7 yrs they'd have to come up with about $13M per year.
He was never going anywhere if the Leafs had the same offer on the table in the summer. - The Law
If Leafs were gonna offer 92M why would they wait until the summer and take the chance he goes somewhere else?
Your reasoning makes no sense...

If the team acquiring him has a contract agreement before the trade, yes, max value.
Look at how Vegas acquires "pending UFAs" that don't become UFAs. |

There could be 1 current @NHL Head Coach that might potentially hit or surpass Mike Babcock’s industry leading 7M per Yr deal he signed with the @MapleLeafs . 🤐 👀. It would take plenty of factors for it to align , but plots are thickening. #HockeyX #HockeyTwitter

100% Rod
Not sure if he would choose money but Leafs could for sure blow the Canes out of the water. - Santo_44
My first guess was Cooper..But could be Rod

MacKinnon has thrown a similar tantrum, mamy players have.
I get it its not a good look for sure, but people need stop acting like its no other player has thrown their gloves |

So damn happy Seattle sacked the Hak.
Now Boston just needs to not draw things out and end it fast and hard so Keefe can be buried beside Hak in the useless coach graveyard.

That's a giant IF.
And the team trading him would be giving up assets and reducing their depth. Not a lot willing to do that when there was a chance they get him in FA.
Can't do the type of trade you suggest without a willing partner AND the player agreeing to an extension.

This season has been interesting to say the least. I think most fans are a bit in shock that they have been able to turn it around so quickly. Problem is, my expectations are now sky-high. No way this canucks team can meet those expectations. So I'm doomed to be disappointed once again.
Game 4 was a weird one for me. Spent most of the game swearing and hating on them for their lack of urgency. The first two periods were just painful to watch. Then, absolute weirdness. That poop don't happen for the canucks, it usually happens against us.
I would kill for consistency instead of this rollercoaster.
I would love to beat the Oilers but that McJesus guy is on a whole different level. They will be a tough out. |
