Wtf? Hes not better than McJesus in the playoffs
Lol
Mcj tore it up last year i believe - Fakepartofme
I don’t know ..the guy is just money… esp in playoffs just raises his game like crazy- esp now that his neck is fixed.
And I’m on record as saying McJesus is the best player around … |

This season has been interesting to say the least. I think most fans are a bit in shock that they have been able to turn it around so quickly. Problem is, my expectations are now sky-high. No way this canucks team can meet those expectations. So I'm doomed to be disappointed once again.
Game 4 was a weird one for me. Spent most of the game swearing and hating on them for their lack of urgency. The first two periods were just painful to watch. Then, absolute weirdness. That poop don't happen for the canucks, it usually happens against us.
I would kill for consistency instead of this rollercoaster.
I would love to beat the Oilers but that McJesus guy is on a whole different level. They will be a tough out. - bloatedmosquito
Quietly put together a decent group in Vancouver. Hughes is a beauty! Demko is good, Boeser/Miller/Petersson (sp?) are some high end talent. I think Vancouver is a more complete team than Edmonton, I hope |

What illness does Auston have that is exacerbated by being on the ice? My thinking is the diarrhea is harder to control while skating. He will be a legend if they can come back from this poopgate. |

They didn't give up on him.. They could not afford him because ?Dubas overpaid a bunch of people - Azuredoom
No, Dubas gave up on him. He brought in his big smile buddy Campbell and bet on a back-up. Just like he did with Samsonov. |

Our goaltending is held together by duck tape at the moment. Doesn't look like Demko will be back this season. No way our 2nd and 3rd string goalies will be able to withstand that Edmonton power play.

That's a giant IF.
And the team trading him would be giving up assets and reducing their depth. Not a lot willing to do that when there was a chance they get him in FA.
Can't do the type of trade you suggest without a willing partner AND the player agreeing to an extension. - Nasty_Duck
A "chance" is not the same as a guarantee. Not that big of an IF. Vegas went out and grabbed Hertl and Hanifin did they not? |

Leafs win game 5 and 6. Then lose game 7.
Because Leafs.
Or lose to Florida.
Because, again, Leafs. |

If Leafs were gonna offer 92M why would they wait until the summer and take the chance he goes somewhere else?

Going to be a big summer for big names entering their last/extension year.
Marner, Draisatl, Rantanen, Konecny, Boeser, Verhaege, Ehlers ...young fwds in their prime. Do they get re-up'd or play it out ...or tradezz.
Chychrun, Theodore, Ekblad, Pionk, Slavin on the blueline.
Most of those guys are pretty easy re-signs you'd think but Draisatl ...curious what happens there.

Depends how far the oilers go this year.
But hes getting $13m minimum i would think.
I would do marner for herlt and Theodore. Vegas wont, but i would. |

Of course it's a big IF.
The stars aligned in that Vegas deal. There would be very few playoff bound teams willing to give up assets at trade deadline for Nylander.
And it would have to be a team Nylander was willing to go to. Nylander has way more control than you suggest.
And you are suggesting David Edstrom is "Max value"? LOL.
SJ was happy with a 1st rounder but Leafs don't need draft pick at deadline. |

Ya not sure what Leon is thinking but he probably whispers to CmcD before signing long term.
And curious to see what Rantanen does too. He'll re-sign but he's better than both 88 and 16 which means he'll probably sign for less then them.
All right ..back to the present. Game day! We got this ...3-1 Leafs. |

Not quite yet but close. If one of McD or Drai is gone then we would surpass EDM. Plus Edm has a better shot of moving to the cup finals but this Canucks club has proven alot of people wrong this year so who knows. Gonna be an interesting 2nd round if the Nucks and Oilers meet lol |

One game at a time. Squeak out a W tonight then get that all important home win in GM 6. Then anything can happen. |

The most Leafy outcome would for us to win 2 games and lose a game 7 in Boston with a come from behind classic from the Bruins.
After all of the season-is-over-already discourse from social and mainstream media, this is the only way it can play out. |

dont worry
Leafs are cooked. Swayman is too consistent, Leafs cant generate enough decent chances to score more than 2 goals on him

Losing tonight isn't Leafy enough though.
We haven't been given enough false hope yet. |
