They’ve begun to build my meds back up, they got the seizures they need, and now I had a short portion done of it today but I’m getting one of about 2-3 hours tomorrow where they literally connect my head to a computer and read everything it does.
I didn’t even know this lobe existed (I’m no neurologist lol) but it’s one that lies in between either side called the diencephalon, it’s in between the temporal lobes.
The 5 neurologists studying me told me after tomorrow there’s a very good chance they’ll remove all the electrodes Wednesday, make me stay 24 more hours, and then release me the next day. It obviously depends on what they discover tomorrow.
Either way I learned something new and cool today… and the neurologists feel excited. Not the most normal of things and it seems to explain a lot. Various strengths vs various weaknesses kind of thing. They’re thinking that once they get to study the info for a few months they might be able to rid me of epilepsy and if that happens I will be so massively thankful. - Dozzer
Wow! Wouldn't that be something. Cheers dude.

Best of luck.
That would actually be amazing. Imagine how much that research could help not only yourself but all the people suffering out there.
Good for you for helping out by suffering so many seizures under care.

Yeah even if they simply get it to the point whereas so long as I remember to take the meds daily (and trust me my phone reminds me lol), and that alone keeps me away from seizing, I’d be so happy.
Get working again and do it step by step stress/physical wise and the government will at least maintain covering my meds unless I fall into employment that would pay for it instead (union for instance). We shall see. I’ll just worry about this week for now lol. |

My man…you have been through some absolute poop over the last number of years, I sincerely hope things go well for you. I used to tease you about being a civil engineer, anyone who fails at real engineering becomes a civil engineer LOL, good times.
Anyway, I still hate the Leafs and I’m kind of enjoying the meltdown. |

I happily signed off on the bolded so it’s not just vague info that could help others, they can call on me if they want.
They typically don’t because everything they get me to do under research pays me $25 an hour…. Just to lie there lol. Told them I’d happily do it for free but the neurologist told me I’m cheaper to pay than it would be to hire a lawyer to draft up something custom for me. I had to laugh while saying “fair enough” to that doctor lol |

Honestly? Find a good goalie coach first. I really have no idea who that might be but if you're getting paid to build a hockey club that should be a top priority. |

And my damn damaged brain still does math just fine… of course that’s the part that isn’t damaged.
Didn’t know before but now I do… it’s called the occipital lobe, primarily left side.
As for the leafs I hoped for more but sadly I’m also not surprised either

$25 an hour isn't much but it adds up when you're spending 24/7 in a hospital. I really just hope they find a cure for all the people out there suffering but I'm sure my desire pales in comparison to yours.
I truly wish you the best. |

The Leafs had a plan. It was a good plan. They kicked off the plan with the greatest rookie class in NHL history.
Then, they abandoned the plan and immediately (Tavares) started the EXACT SAME stupidity that led to 50+ years of futility in the first place. Over-paying, tradng draft picks, chasing aging players well past their prime, ignoring the goaltending and defense, not hiring a proven, successful coach...
They turned a good plan, and a very fortunate draft bounty, into 1 series win. It is the worst mismanagement I think we have ever seen in pro sports. - Aetherial

The Leafs downfall started when they signed Tavares and got away from “the plan”. They got greedy and impatient, started pissing away draft picks. |

I think he’s let in a couple softies at the worst time - but not that one to be honest.
I saw that as JVR had a bit pressure and he was all alone in slot so Sammy shot out to challenge aggressively. Didn’t mind it. JVR has great hands (even still) so he beat him.
Either way I do agree that Sammy has been part of the issue but to blame him (not saying you are) as the main reason is nuckin futs. He’s part of about 5 part reasons. |

The list was made last year so it's easy to find.
Graves @ 4.5 million AAV over 6 years
Mayfield @ 4.5 million AAV over 6 years (more money in a shorter time period)
Schenn @ 2.75 million AAV over 3 years
Gustafsson @ 1 million AAV over 2 years (more than he was offered)
Rielly / Mayfield
Graves / Schenn
Gustafsson / Liljegren
That's a way bigger, tougher blueline to play against. And worth every single penny.
And doesn't even include what you could have got if they traded Nylander.
I guarantee you that blueline smashes teams physically, blocks shots, doesn't suck a fat donkey on the PK and plays playoff hockey 10 times better than the soft serve garbage the Leafs tried to put on this ice this year. - Rare_Jewel
Mayfield didn't even go to market, if we can just say we should have gotten players we didn't even have the opportunity to have, I want Mak |

Oh it’s nothing at all. But if I’m already here, and they want to pay me to go into a test (last one was a 7T MRI that I actually fell asleep in lol), I don’t mind either.
I’ve had 5-6 hours over the last 12 days so I won’t be getting much at all, once the cheque comes in I’ll take my gf and I out for dinner somewhere. It’s nothing special but even disability accepts it without cutting it out of what the government gives me. |

Mayfield leave New York, if we can just say we should have gotten players we didn't even have the opportunity to have, I want Cale Makar.
Graves is average at best and 2 years away from being Brodie, a 6 year deal is an awful idea. Gustafson was poop defensively.
This is all of stupid and not even possible.
It is that time of year for UG to crawl out of his hole though isn't it. |

Nope - the plan was wrong. Signing JT was actually right along with plan…offence skill load up.

lol the original plan was to draft. After 3 players they pretty much altered the plan.
He's not wrong. The plan changed the day they signed Tavares. |

Yep he overpaid Willie to make him easier to move.
Having PLD on your list as 3rd line center for 8.5 million per hmmm NO
Merz or Korpisalo as our #1 at 6 million LOL - jribout
Just playing hockey cards JR.
PLD was hopefully retained.
A while back Merz and Korpi were touted as awesome #1 starters and people in here were dying to get them out of CBJ.
Willy or Marner being overpaid is what we think...since we have Matthews and JT getting the cheddar too. Not sure the entire list of NHL GMs do?

1. How in hell do you know what the plan was? Like factually know what the plan was.
2. Was the comment truly laugh out loud funny or do you type lol cause you’re a child?
3. Plans don’t change? No matter what the landscape looks like (draft, injury, player performance) you keep going? That’s the thing?
4. The plan was to build an offensive, skill first, fast, puck possession team and win that way.
He and you are both wrong. Lmao |
