You could have 3.5 Domi's for one Marner, if there's even a sniff Domi could replace him permanently on Austons wing you do it. Because you could have Domi extended at 5 and a 5.9 million dollar defenseman both instead of Marner, and that's pre Marner extension.

That’s what I’m saying. Clearly Marner has far more talent than Domi - but I’d rather have 3 Domis vs one Mitchy’s. Impact game to game and in playoffs more…we have 34 and Willy super elite offence plus other decent offensive players. Don’t waste all that cap on the same…next contract too eh - he should get a shave on this one for Pete’s sake

There is so much star deference on this team though, it's problematic.

Dump Marner, and you got two stars in Nylander and Matthews, which is what most teams roll with.

Add a 1D, keep McCabe, figure out which of Benoit, Lilly, Edmunston, Boosh you want to keep for your 3rd pairing, find a proper 4D for McCabe.

Go with Woll, find a 1B to challenge him. Roll 4 lines.

Man I haven’t heard or read anyone say Willys been good at all this playoffs so far. People rightly point to him being arguably the best player on last 2 years playoffs - but not this year. It’s the same with when he was slumping down stretch. People were saying he wasn’t playing well.

You just go crazy on the guy and make it seem like everyone loves him and unfairly hates Mitch. It’s just not the case my man.

Willy has made next to no impact (hurt but still)
Mitch has had a negative effect (giveaways, soul sucking tantrums)
