Be happy the Leafs won and extended the series. They've made it further than the Lightning did.

You can always nitpick a performance, even a winning one, but the W counts just the same. The Leafs won a tight 2-1 game - that is a sign of a champion. You have to win all kinds of games - close tight ones, wide open end to end, overtimes, special teams, etc. A lot of the Lightning's championship run wins were ugly. You could single out a guy or two and slam their game and say "what IF", but the team won and advanced. The goal is a cup and not a perfect run.

Leafs just won an elimination game without their best player. That is solid any way you cut it.

Show up with a ghetto blaster from 1983 and blast Highway to Hell by AC/DC and it’s absolutely free.

In a world without Matthews, whatever. If he’s back, the best shooter in the league gets one of the two best passers on the team. It’s not that complicated.
- Canada Cup

Lol yes it is.

He just missed an elimination game due to an illness that he has had for a week, the game happens 40 hours later.

It is absolutely complicated if he comes back.

If you are expected him to magically be 100% and play 22 mins a night on the top line you are mad and insane.

He pulled a beer out of that thing no? Then toasted all the helmets with it.

What a set up that dude has! (a little much for me but badass)

They are elite passers, they are waterbug possession players I want them to play their game.

They did shoot the puck.

I also like how they move the puck a lot and pass to the D so they have a clear shot one timer with Bert in front.

If they are on their game like last night I have no issues with lots of passing.

- Santo_44

so you can't even agree they need to be a little selfish with the puck.
so you just want it your way eh .

and when they did shoot the puck, they lost their prime spot to do so.

Yes, but according to a different blog, somehow the refs and NHL heads are colluding to extend the Pred/Rioters series for...reasons.
- sokosteve

I thought only leaf fans blamed the refs. That's what other fanbases tell me

Boston fans didn't seem to like the refs last night, and I can't blame them. Marchand got literally murdered on the ice and no call

Kinda a fair statement, especially an elimination game.

Let's hope it's not a dead cat boucne.

Dude I thought they had an amazing game and were the best line, I don't know what you want from me.

I am not going to fall into your doom and gloom and pick apart an A performance because it wasn't an A+.

They were fantastic and if that line plays that exact same game Thursday the Leafs have a good shot at winning.

You can't use logic here!

I've been told by many people here champion teams ALWAYS dominate their games. The entire game. The stars never make mistakes! Only leaf stars make mistakes that lead to goals.

Grass is greener often.

Solid win though!

Tampa will retool a bit and come back strong. I think Stammer stays though.

I assume that linesman has an in person meeting with Gary and Parros tonight and that he's looking at 6 games minimum.
