I have no issue if Michkov comes over this summer. He is already NHL ready. I don't want to risk significant injury in the KHL. It's up to the organization to continue to build a roster around a player who could be elite. I expect him to be here sooner then later because Briere deserves credit getting Fedotov and Kosolov over here. Both players had unique paths to get to the NHL. |

When they cut to Domi punching Adam Burt while he was being held down I lost it and threw my remote across the room. He was already running from everyone like the classless punk he always was. Lost any and all respect for Domi and I still think he is a giant POS lol.

yes you do win. You can go to sleep tonight knowing you can recognize sarcasm when you see it. - Keyser soze That was a slowly lobbed soft ball right over the plate, but I'll take it!

I’ll be curious if, with how thin they are at center, if they spend anytime trying Michkov at center since he did seem to want to try it this past training camp. It’s uncommon for a wing to move to center but Giroux did it. |

Those are clever questions. They work as sarcasm and legit questions.Russia has leverage. There are advantages for them to wait a year or until the end of the contract.
My guess is they’ll ask for something astronomical. If the Flyers counter with less than astronomical they walk away. But Briere and Jones show their hand. Next time they come to the table the Russians are working with an advantageous framework. - Minnyhock
So, treat MM like poop, letting Flyers know he is available, and come to the table to negotiate from a power position, does make sense

Don't want Michkov anywhere near Torts. That seems destined to be another sad chapter in the never ending soap opera that is the Philadelphia Flyers.
I guess getting MM out of Russia asap is a positive. But one could also view this push to get him over here as a potential sign of the organization's impatience with the rebuild process. - Big_E_88
Tyson Foerster has had zero issue with Torts. He even had a stronger rookie season than TK’s rookie season. I don’t love everything Torts does but the idea that he’s going to clash with every player is unfounded. |

He has played in the NHL, has also been given time to learn the trade. Maybe you forgot that. You have been sitting in your basement or lazy boy spewing your uneducated opinions on Hb. Bill definitely has a passion for the team. Bill though is also just a fan with media rights. He has no clue how to run or coach a team. - Keyser soze
Playing in the NHL does not automatically translate to knowing how to coach or run an NHL team. Wayne Gretzky, arguably the best player ever to play, was a poor coach. Jones has been the POHO for almost a year. I guess that's time to learn the trade. LOL
You have an opportunity every day to show how uneducated my opinions are. Your posting record shows that those are not comments I need to take seriously. You're a complete clown and an idiot. I've humored you enough. |

Foerster was sound in his play away from the puck. Nobody has said that he is going to clash with every player. However a young skilled offensive players like Michkov. It is highly likely.

I don’t think Rotenberg is punishing Michkov for anything personal. They don’t make emotional decisions. Michkov is just collateral damage to their machinations.

I personally would lean towards not bringing Michkov over for next season. The odds of Michkov and Tortorella clashing are very high with Michkov being yo-yoed in and out of the lineup with fluctuating ice time. - MJL
The flyers don’t really have a choice in the matter. If he wants to come over and something can get worked out for him to get out of the contract. Do you really think it’s in their best interest not to bring him over?

What has he done with all the great talent he has had?
Exited after:
Conference finals twice
Second round twice
Frist round twice
What would he do here with the Flyers talent, Brind is the type of coach you want when all the pieces are in place. - WhiskeyMan
Played the President trophy winner 4 times

I think you get him over here whenever you get the opportunity. Personally I want him signed…if only to avoid another Cutter fiasco.
Let Torts get his hands on him….teach him the 200 ft. Game…maybe a couple of games in the press box if he struggles. |

Haha yes the memories! I remember that game like it was yesterday...I didn't throw anything but was screaming for Richardson to get Domi and kick his a$$. Man I miss those days!

The people have spoken and the major majority says bring his arse over as soon as possible! There are many more pros than cons here...it's not even close. Thanks again! |

Yes, I did and deservedly so. If someone is civil to me, I will be in return. If not, they get what they deserve. I don't think I'm wrong at all but you're certainly entitled to your opinion. Delaying Michkov's arrival is better for the Flyers in my opinion. On a number of levels. What you fail to realize is the reasoning behind why the majority want him over as soon as possible.

He'll most likely be playing in that lower level league if he stays over there and that's not gonna help develop his game further. Also, who knows what things may be like in a couple of years geopolitically, so I say strike while the iron is hot if it's feasible to get him here this summer. |

This site would say Torts ruined him. Perhaps Quitter is the next Dubois… tons of talent and ability but a $4itty attitude. |

There is a lot of reasons why it would be good to delay his arrival. Why do the Flyers and the NHL routinely send players to or keep players in lower level leagues if it doesn't help develop players games further? |

No way in hell I would do this. Michkov needs to be as free as possible from the defensive responsibilities of a center. |

There are ZERO reasons to delay his arrival. If you can get him here, you get him here. FULL STOP.
