This roster makes it so easy to skip games. I skipped quite a few this year. Do we really need to see mostly the same roster try to compete with the Rangers and Canes and other speed and skill teams? God Bless fans who can watch every game and go along with everything the team does. I've never been that type of fan. I do not need a championship every year, but show me you know what you are doing, and you are trying and not just phoning it in.

They will continue to blame the parking for why fans aren’t going to games.

And the traffic. The coaches will also continue to get thrown under the bus.

He was just quoted as saying he has no plans of retiring. I’m serious.

Martin did? I know Clutter said he wanted to keep playing here...

Him doing it so soon has me thinking there’s a big change coming but I’m prepared to accept being completely wrong about that.

I guess we'll know if he shows up in flip flops and a Hawaiian shirt

This still would not get Lou replaced.

“The retirement narrative wasn’t something I started.”

Said he wants to play next season and wants to play here.

Is what it is at this point. Not worth getting crazy about. Have to hope he works some kind of voodoo magic on another GM at the draft. Fully expect that NOT to happen but whatever. The going for it ship will continue sailing till he’s gone.

I'd rather not give up another #1 even if it's not a great draft. Also, what magic is Lou going to use to free up space if Nelson and Palms are coming back? Nothing we can do aside from stop watching or going to the games.

Lou has all the power with both players. He only needs to offer 6 years instead of 7.

So Lou stuck to his 'Mushroom Theory', feed them sh!t and keep them in the dark. The only thing of substance was that Lou and Roy will be back. Everything else is a mystery until the opening night roster is posted.

Maybe I am feeling the draw of May 4th...But Lou is starting to look like Yoda...Team excitement have I...The force is strong in ROY...The dark side you must watch out for.

Not sure what everyone is getting worked up about. I thought maybe there would have been changes like associate coaches or possibly Lou was announcing his retirement. That is big which I thought was possible. I’m sure they’ll have a new assistant coach before the season starts. If I were to bet Maclean will be here still especially with his son being one of the brightest parts of this season.

Other then that if neither of the above happened I wasn’t expecting anything else. Lou never says anything about anything. From where I’m sitting now they can’t do a heck of a lot due to existing contracts and not enough salary going out. Other then trading our top producers hoping to replace them with equal or better production is unrealistic.

So what I’m saying is it’s more then likely also a mystery to them.

Come back to us Ryan. Islanders are close like I’m close to getting a supermodel.

Barzal and a few others said basically the same thing as Pulock. Either they all believe it or they all should be politicians.

Or they like being payed millions for playing hockey, and don't want to risk it for some unnecessary comment.

Barzal already got his money. What are the Islanders going do, trade him to a better team?
