I am so excited. I signed Woll in my fantasy hockey league last off-season to a $2 contract for max term. |

Very sad that Jack Edwards just called his last game - Canada Cup
not sad at all... absolutely terrible game coverage.
if you ever want to know what to think of a play in a particular game - whatever Edwards says believe the opposite is true.
there is an entire generation of Bruins fans who have listening to his pollution and really are very misinformed.
it boggles the mind that anyone would pay that guy to cover any sport.

based on what I say tonight... I watched Marner closely - he wasn't bad - but really didn't do much to create space and was at a times a liability in his own zone - and he still turns away from traffic far too much.
and conversely Knies is turning fairly quickly into a smart responsible player who isn't afraid to go to all areas of the ice. - BorjeFan4Ever
Knies not taking the swing at the empty net from the Boston blueline and tucking back to maintain possession shows maturity well beyond his experience level. Sky is the limit with that kid. |

Yeah he has looked great the last 2 games. I thought he was solid the whole series but was getting pasted the first few games because he was willing to sacrifice to try and make a play.
Cannot believe some mentioned him possibly coming out of the lineup when Willie came back.

His opening before tonight’s game was unreal.
BTW, this is the way you homer. Joe Bowen is a beauty. “We’re going to Boston again buddy and this time we’re going to finish the job.”

He’s a better goalie than Samsonov. That was never the question. It was just that he hadn’t pulled it together after his injury. Now he has. |

You realize if they lose lose the next game though, you're going to have have the spend the ENTIRETY of next years playoffs in the hospital.
Though personally, i'd opt for something a little more benign than electrodes and monitors. Maybe contract a rare toe nail fungus?
just sayin'.

If you didn't watch that thing that jribout shared in the previous thread, there is some wonderful analysis done by Steve Valiquette (who works for MSG Network as a goalie analyst) about the different playoff goalies, and one of the things he says is that it was really surprising that the Leaf decision makers would have chosen Samsonov given that all data noted that Woll was better - even after his return from injury - when you considered situations faced, difficulty of opponent and shots.

That's all great and everything but I'm positive the commentary on here is living proof that Santo is the only person on earth who thought it would be the correct decision. |

Ego and attitude aside, I wouldn't have started Woll if it were me. I was wrong.
There's no harm in accepting it when it happens. Best advice - rip off the bandage and move on.

I said I understood why he didn’t play game 1.
It was game 2 and 4 that was mind boggling.
Oh well, it’s game 7 now and the right guy is in net.
He’s signed to 750K next year. We should all be thrilled. |

If not for Woll being so wonderful all game, I would've anointed Knies the player of the game with ease. He was fantastic. But last year against Tampa and Florida he was, too. He rises to the occasion and plays really well when it matters.

He’s been on for the last 4 OT goals and had the amazing assist for Willy’s game winner.
So clutch.
He’s big, has good hands and is smart. When it’s so chaotic you want him out there.
Nylander and JT as well. |

Agreed. I also like that Keefe put Dewar, Kampf and Jarnkrok together |

Has AA jumped off a cliff yet?
Those 2 goals Nylander scored must be the final nail in his coffin. |

Absolutely.
They had a couple of rough shifts, but they really excelled in a lot of times when we needed them to. Kampf and Dewar, in particular, were absolutely excellent.

1st goal was just lucky. Bounced off a Bruins defenceman. Willy deserves no credit.
Second goal was … hey, look at these jinggly keys! |
