I had to look that one up...

Joe Muffraw is a French Canadian folk hero from the Ottawa Valley, known for his giant size and lumberjack skills. He is often referred to as a giant of a man, with some accounts describing him as being over 6 feet 5 inches tall. Muffraw was a logger and a woodsman, and his exploits were often exaggerated and romanticized in local folklore.
