You can have all the set plays and do what every team does and do the drop in neutral to get in but:

- this group of players get out worked
- these players have zero urgency to game
- the above statements and add in the fact that now they feel less pressure cause they have more time and space = recipe for disaster.

It’s the players not the coach with this group (on PP anyways).
